Samuel Adams is currently in the process of brewing up a German style called “radler.” The name radler translates to “cyclist,” A 50/50 (ish) blend of beer and lemonade. (Like a shandy). Perfect for any summer day, Samuel Adams® Porch Rocker was inspired by traditional Bavarian Radlers that mix beer with German-style lemonade. For our bright and citrusy Radler, we blended a Helles beer with lemon for a fresh-squeezed lemon taste, effervescent sweetness, and slightly tart, refreshing finish. A light malt character and hint of hops balance out this summer brew.

Pours a clear golden with a rather large, frothy off-white head that is long lasting. Aroma is pure, sugary-sweet lemon Kool-Ade. Sweet lemondrop flavor with very little sourness and a light wheat tang in the finish. Moderately carbonated. A refreshing beer, though it really just leaves me wanting a nice, uncarbonated iced lemonade. It is what it is.

Golden straw color, active visual carbonation. Light refreshing body with a pleasing flavor with a nice splash of lemon over a smooth malty base. Drinkable and enjoyable.

Decent radler with solid lemon aroma and flavor. Not much body. Straw color. Wouldn’t buy again.

Bottle at home as I continue the radler/shandy quest so many have tried before. Fine gold pour small whitish head. Nose is fresh lemonade. Tastes of lemons, hint of malt, pine, herbal, touch of sweet nectar on finish. Accomplishes what it set out for and isn’t cloyingly sweet. I can see why folks enjoy this one of better radlers I’ve had yet

Lemony sweet summer beer. Some flavorings over a light beer - lemon drops, a little clove. Can taste something artificial. Nothing great.

I think this beer accomplishes what it sets out to do. It tastes like a 50/50 mixture of beer and lemonade. Smooth, sweet lemon taste. Not what I’m looking for in a beer myself, but I think this is the right beer for someone on a hot summer day.

12 oz. can form Cash Wise in Watford. Appearance: finger white head, straw yellow, clear, light lacing. Aroma: heavy lemon, grassy, lager yeast. Palate: light body, average carbonation, light cloying texture. Taste: heavy lemon sweetness, not much else comes through. Overall, refreshing, but not something special.

Sampled from the bottle at the Oklahoma Craft Beer Fest. Pours a near clear pale yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. ARoma has notes of earthy grain and bread with a touch of earthy peach. Flavor has a sweet cereal, sweet grain and a bit of sweet peach with a touch of bread and lemon in the finish

Bottled. Poured clear Amber. Very lemonade aid flavor. I personally cannot taste anything other than lemon. If I it was a hot day and I wanted to chill on porch or backyard. This beer would be my choice

Great shandy. Good balance of beer and lemonade. Perfect for the days of summer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
