3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at McKenzie River. Pours a clear gold, with a thin white head. Taste is rich and hoppy, notes of grass. A good strong IPA. Thumbs up.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
A 6.5% IPA from Sam Adams? This should be interesting.
Pours a orangish honey color with a nice creamy white head. Looks pretty appetizing actually. Aroma is honey, slightly floral and tangerine. Taste is so-so. Bitter hops rounded off by a sweet malty aftertaste. Not much in the way of complexity. Feels like Sprite in the mouth. Very carbonated and slightly prickly. Overall this is a sub-par IPA. Canít expect much going in to it though.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
So-so. I was expecting a lot more hop presence for an ale tagged as a west coast IPA. I wonder what yeast they used because it has a taste similar to Sam Adams Stock Ale, so I suspect the same yeast was used. There are many other IPAs out there that are much better, and better balanced.

Sampled on tap. A nice brew but hop palate is milder than you expect. Decent but not great.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma is strong and hoppy, mainly woody with an undertone of fresh-mowed hay. Pours a clear amber with a nice thick pale buff head. Hoppy flavor is bold and woody, a little bitter, with just a snippet of fruit. Not too shabby, though I like a wee bit more complexity. Texture is fairly fizzy and firm. If not Samís best, certainly a respectable IPA. Man your X-Wings, and may the Hops be with you!

2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Just not a good tasting IPA. Know what I think they were going for here but just poor execution. No real distinct hoppy bite or taste, nor does it have the good balance.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
on tap @ Barleycorns / Lakeside Park KY --- Medium amber with a long-lasting 1" head, sheets of lace. Taste is caramel malt that introduces citrus hops midway through the palate, with the bitters lasting deep into the finish. Pretty simple, pretty predictable, but easy to drink, and good for pairing with food. Recommended.

Draft. Nice, amber color. Low carbonation and head. Nice hop aroma. Flavor was not too bitter. Well rounded and nice.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bright gold, transparent color, with small white head that diminishes quickly leaving minimal lacing. Aroma has faint grapefruit hops and is a little musty. Flavor has bitter, resinous hops, light grapefruit, corn and bubble gum. Itís okay overall, but feel itíd be better priced around $8 a 6pk for itís average quality compared to others.
