COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rebel IPA is brewed with 5 varieties of West coast hops: cascade, simcoe, centennial, chinook, & amarillo. Itís everything we love about West coast style IPAís. Big citrus & grapefruit flavors with subtle pine notes for a flavorful refreshing brew.

Attractive label, making it seem like a slightly more cutting edge micro than the older but still somewhat nimble Sam Adams. Decent nose, but not as fresh as some IPAs. The flavor trundles along without a big wallop at the finish, and that was fine with me, but it sort of seems like another IPA. Bottle.

I drank this last time I ate at Saltgrass. It is a fragrant brew bursting with hop aroma. The color is a light amber and the body is medium. Not as bitter as might be expected from the thick aroma. The alcohol is not over present, rather it is well masked. A tasty brew with red meat.

Pretty impressive for SA! I mean this isnít really a west coast IPA (still not enough over-the-top citrus presence), but it is really good, and Iíd definitely order it if I saw it on tap at a chain restaurant or something.

Metalchopz (2372) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 3, 2014
Enjoyed a few of these at White Rock Pizza in Woodbury, Vermont. Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a white frothy-bubbly head, and sticky pacthy lacing. Aromas of citrus, honey and grass. Nice bitterness with wetness and a light dry finish. Mild grainy taste with light citrus zest. A pretty nice easy-going West Coast style IPA.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2014 Light orange color and good aroma of hops and fruit. Very solid IPA at a good price.

Pours a very clean orange color with a modest, white creamy head. Aroma has a large grapefruit citrus nose with a moste orange and light pine kick at the end. Flavor is a strong grapefruit and orange combo with a nice bitterness at the finish. Body is light with a sharp carbonation feeling which helps to deliver the aroma nicely. Overall a good IPA.

Clear deep amber with a small white head that leaves some lace. Medium citrus and grass nose. Light sweet malt base for the medium bitter hops. Medium light mouth with soft carbonation. Decent not spectacular.

I had to try this even though its Sam Adams. The pre craft beer craft beer. This wasnít bad. Too formulated. I donít know how to describe that flavor otherwise. Something from preventing the flavor from bursting out of this like it should. All of my favorite hops in this though and Sam Adams used them well.
