1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Keg at Flying Scotsman, Stockholm. Clear golden, rich head. Buttery nose with some red apples. Sweet with medium-full body and clean, blown-up mouthfeel. Fizzy syrup and red apples. Sugary finish with some metal and notes of resin.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from ABC. Pours a hazy gold with a frothy white head that sticks around - some great lacing as well. A little surprised by how nice this looks, actually, as itís my first time having it from the bottle. Aromas are pretty standard for a light IPA - pine, citrus, earth. Taste is pretty sweet and smooth overall with a light body and somewhat dry finish. Never blown away by this, but itís certainly not bad at all. Acquire.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Had on draft at Red Robin on 08.07.14.
A: Caramel, citrus, and slight lemon.
A: See through amber. It had a ring of head and lots of bubbles floating up.
T: Caramel, lemon, and tropical fruit dominate. Flower is subtle.
P: Somewhat crisp.
O: This was supposed to be a West Coast style IPA, but it doesnít come close. There was also a strange icky-sweet malt presence that is now in Boston Lager too. It was drinkable, but the BBC should change the label.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from QClub at home. Slightly hazy deep straw yellow pour. Aroma is not very strong - faint earthy bitter hops. Taste also a bit boring. Pronounced bitterness, piney hops. Some malt. Not bad but not that good.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 5/20
I think the problem with this beer isnít the taste. It tastes fine. Itís the whole rebel image thing. Itís just trying too hard to be something. Itís a pretty standard safe ipa. Most people who donít want a hop bomb will be able to drink this and say they drink ipa. Which is fine. I think itís great to have these IPAís that can get people into the style. Itís a wonderful style of beer that gets a lot of shit. Look, Rebel IPA is fine. Itís has a grassy, almost hoppy lager taste. It just tries too hard in my opinion.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
355ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grassy and citrusy, hoppy aroma, a touch of pine, biscuity malty background - rather cautious overall. Taste is slightly sweet caramel malty, citrusy hoppy, hints of orange, mandarine, a touch of grapefruit, some plain bitterness; improved fruitiness in the finish.
