COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rebel IPA is brewed with 5 varieties of West coast hops: cascade, simcoe, centennial, chinook, & amarillo. It’s everything we love about West coast style IPA’s. Big citrus & grapefruit flavors with subtle pine notes for a flavorful refreshing brew.

Bottle from Morrisons. Dark gold with a touch of amber. Thin ring of white head. Tropical fruit and resin in the muted aroma. Taste is initially yummy. Sweet papaya and spiced orange peel. But unfortunately the finish is far too short and there’s an unbalanced alcohol burn at the very end. Nice to have a new Sam Adams beer - don’t see so many of them in the UK.

rauchbier (3764) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAY 14, 2016
Bottle, from Morrisons. Gold, thin but lasting white head and good condition. Restrained hop nose with hints of citrusy grapefruit, pine resin, and raspberry over a background of grainy malt, quite sweet in the mouth with some initial maltiness mixing with a low fruity berry note before a spicy hop bitterness takes over laced with grapefruit and a faint clove note, almost phenolic in nature, finish is muted but a resinous hop bitterness lingers over a low sweet lemony note.

All around balanced nice taste and easy drinking. Nothing to call home about but nothing off putting. I am more pleased with this one than I anticipated.

Tap. Closer lift gold, foamy white head. Light slight grapefuit hops, some soap, and that’s it for the aroma. Flavor is bitter but bland, how? It’s not offensive, just not good. IPA for trhe masses, I get it. Light body.
