COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rebel IPA is brewed with 5 varieties of West coast hops: cascade, simcoe, centennial, chinook, & amarillo. It’s everything we love about West coast style IPA’s. Big citrus & grapefruit flavors with subtle pine notes for a flavorful refreshing brew.

6 pack picked up by my awesome wife. Pours a clear copper, white head, loads of lace. Nose is quite obviously sweet malt, and juicy tropical citrus hops. Same as the nose, sweet caramel malt backbone, citrus hops, a little numbing bitterness. Decent.

16oz can poured into a shaker glass. Clear light golden color with a nice, white and steady head, good retention and lacing. Piney nose, forest, sweet malt, some citrus peel, onion, and faint tropical notes. Juicy hop flavor, pine, ripe citrus, light caramel malt, medium bitterness, faint marmalade. Medium body, not very dry, could be fresher, but quite enjoyable. Cool.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2015 Samuel Adams really knows how to make a really good West coast IPA. This was a good example.

Appearance has an yellow orange glow supporting minimal head and leaving minimal lace. Smell having a balance of sweet malt and piney hops. Taste again having a good balance of the hops offsetting the sweetness of the malt. Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. Overall nothing fancy, just a good IPA.

Copper in color, good carbonation. Grapefruit and Citrus are the strong flavors, not a very big hop bite.

Ample hops though not terribly bitter. Fruity aroma and flavor in a tropical way, pineapple, grapefruit. I thought this was a little bit of a pleasant surprise. Being fresh now, i like it, but dont expect a long shelf life. Sam Adams brew #100!!
