COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rebel IPA is brewed with 5 varieties of West coast hops: cascade, simcoe, centennial, chinook, & amarillo. It’s everything we love about West coast style IPA’s. Big citrus & grapefruit flavors with subtle pine notes for a flavorful refreshing brew.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours light orange/copper with a transient seemingly white head. Moderate aroma of hop and caramel. Med body or nearly. Initial flavor is pretty citrusly hoppy, and there’s pine. It has all the right ingredients for a West Coast IPA, but maybe not quite enough hop for it, and far from enough hop for a NW IPA. That said it’s pretty hoppy. It’s a good IPA, and rings all the right notes, but it just won’t stand up to Knee Deep and similar. Certainly drinkable.

Bottle @ a football party. Clear golden pour with a big white head. Nice orange juice, tangerine, and kumquat on the nose. A touch of soap, some floral notes, and a really sugary sweetness. Mild pine. Flavor is decently bitter with some pine and orange peel. A bit of tangerine, sweet sugar, and soapy, floral hops on the finish. Just okay.

Draft sample. Poured a clear amber color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus and floral aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

A golden IPA with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with grassy hops, rather British. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with grassy British hops, well done. On tap at Bacon and beer Classic.

Bottle poured a clear golden amber with a small lasting off white head. Aromas of bread, earthiness and grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread, light grapefruit and light earthiness with a smooth lingering bitter finish. A very mediocre IPA, I’ve had better IPAs from Sam Adams.
