3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Citrus, piney, flowery aroma. Appearance is a super clear gold with a white head with good head retention. Hop flavor is grapefruit and flowery with a caramel malt backbone. Mouthfeel and carbonation are medium. Overall, it's a decent ipa, nothing special. Needs more hop aroma and flavor.

Pour is very clear tan brown yellow with soapy bubbles that disappear quickly. some fine bubbles remain around the edge of the glass and at the surface. Smell is fresh sugary malt and grapefruit. minimal roasted character which for me is a good thing and the reason i enjoy west coast IPAs. I think for a boston company they pretty much nailed the style. Taste is right on par with the smell. pretty delicious in my opinion. Lively mouthfeel, fresh taste, well done. time for football.

Bottle. Lightly orange-golden with big foamy head with decent lacing. Piney/grapefruit aroma- nice but not as robust as some. Flavor a little weak kind of lightly bitter. A touch watery, light bitter finish.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Gentle piney hop bitterness and a fair bit of grapefruit that in themselves are pleasant. Overall impression is a bit thin and watery however. Not bad by any standards but forgettable.

They promise a flavorful refreshing brew and they deliver a flavorful refreshing brew. How a mass produced West Coast IPA should taste - even if it is brewed on the other coast.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle served in a pub glass. Beer pours a clear golden yellow with a thin white head and little lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine, and a stale biscuit smell. Flavor is a bit resinous up front with some grapefruit type flavors. However there is a stale bready flavor that takes over and leaves a rather unpleasant aftertaste. It clings to your mouth and just isn’t very good. Overall I really wanted to like this beer, but I couldn’t. I seemed like a half assed attempt at a west coast IPA. It didn’t really represent the style that well and wasn’t very good overall. I have had this beer 6-7 different times and it is always the same.

On tap at Buffalo Wild Wings. Pours a pale straw color with a bit of head. Mild hop flavors but not good aftertaste.
