Pours a clear golden with a well-retaining white head. Bubble gum on the nose. Medium body. Faint flavors of that bubble gum.

ineedbeer (736) - Oakland, California, USA - JUL 20, 2014
Poured from a 12 oz bottle with a July, 2014 best by date. Aroma is fairly happy with grapefruit, pine resin and some woody dank notes. Light floral character. Medium light caramel notes with some spicy rye character. Pours a clear, golden copper color with a fairly large, fairly thick, slightly off white head that displays good retention. Moderately high lacing and small legs. Flavor has a light sweetness with moderate caramel and rye bread notes with some lighter cracker and baked bread character. Medium high bitterness with moderate hop flavor. Hop flavor is dank and woody with some lighter floral and grapefruit notes. Light alcohol spice. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a light stickiness and moderate carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright rye IPA but far from anything special. Lots of rye character, but I am not sure it was the right hop blend for the malt.

Pours copper with a foamy white head. Aroma of rye, nuts, and spice. Rye flavor with pine, nuts, and spice. Decent beer.

DocLock (7860) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 8, 2014
Bottle from Hopology variety pack Copper pour with off-white head. Nose was rye malt, some hops, florals. Tasted medium in palate heft and complexity, with rye, hops, and some bitterness in the finish. Decent, not great.

NikkTwist (1624) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 26, 2014
Draft at Moriartys. Clear amber pour with a thick white head. Splashes on lace. Earthy, piney hops with a spicy finish. Lightly toasted Pumpernickel. Autumn leaves. Medium dark amber fruit. Dried peaches. Caramel dipped tangelo peels. Bamboo shoots. Some acetic notes. The rye brings out the spice. Certainly better than the average commercial IPA, but feels too overworked. Would like to see an unfiltered version of this.

Gachupines (901) - USA - JUN 9, 2014
Amber color with a relatively thick white head. Aroma is pine hops with notes of rye bread. Flavor is some piney hops with a bit of rye bread and some nutty malts. Slightly bitter finish, not a bad drinker.

12oz bottle, poured amber/ orange color with white head. Aroma was lightly hopped with rye. Flavors of hop (light), I wish it was more hopped, bready/ earthy taste with good touch of rye. Definite a good brew.

Clear amber with tall white head and lacing. Hoppy aroma. Malty flavor with a fair amount of bitterness. Pretty good.
