COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams Rustic Saison is an incredibly complex yet refreshing beer in the classic style of Belgian farmhouse ales. These blonde ales were traditionally brewed to quench the thirst of farmers throughout the summer months. The unique character of our brew comes from its Belgian yeast that imparts floral, fruity, and spicy flavors. These are layered with a slight earthiness and a citrusy, herbal hop character for a bright and satisfying summer brew.

Pale golden body with a thin white head. Malty, spicy, citrus aroma. Not too bad, somewhat inviting. Smooth, medium mouthfeel leads to a decent brew. Fairly sweet and smooth up front, fading to a spicy finish. A decent beer.

Straw color with a moderate sized, white head. Aromas of oranges, light spice, and grains. Flavors of pale malt, coriander, wild berries and orange zest. Another fruity beer for the summer. 3/11

Pours a hazy yellowish/gold color. Aromas of tart fruit, bread, hint of citrus. Flavor is malty/citrus. Leaves a yeasty orange aftertaste. Not for me.

Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head. The aroma is floral hops and also some sweet breadiness and malts. The taste is the same but also i pick up the lemon and other spices.

"pretty nice flavors and aroma for such a light, sessionable ale. floral aroma with some citrus, honey, and spice (clove-like) and a similar flavor, with a touch of other light fruit as well. Not much aftertaste, but a pretty good summer brew."

Maybe the least remarkable Saison there is. This is what happens when a large brewer tries to make something for the masses that isn’t very easy to make. A dumbed down version of a style that combines elegance and effervescence when completed well, i.e. Dupont and Hill Farmstead

On tap at TJs on 05/07/2011. Mostly clear golden body with a large frothy white head. Sweet spicy and lightly fruity aroma with some caramel. Dry spice, grainy and fruit flavor. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

(Backlog) Clear, orange peachy colored, with an ok off white head. The smell is perfume, light florals, lavender, and some wheat. Weaker in smell and taste than expected. The taste is rather bland for a saison, somewhat like a weak floral malt tea. Easy to dri
