Samuel Adams® Summer Ale is an American wheat ale. This summer seasonal uses malted wheat, lemon zest and Grains of Paradise, a rare pepper from Africa first used as a brewing spice in the 13th century, to create a crisp taste, spicy flavor and medium body. The ale fermentation imparts a background tropical fruit note reminiscent of mangos and peaches. All of these flavors come together to create a thirst quenching, clean finishing beer perfect for those warm summer days.

Drinkable beer. Not bad. Not something to go out of the way for. Hazy orange with no head. Aroma is grainy. Taste is the same with a little burnt grain.

An aroma of mild sweet cereal grains, coriander, and mild lemon zest. Appears a hazy unfiltered deep yellow, some foam and lace. Tastes of cereal, lemon, vanilla, and oregano. Palate is ordinary. Overall, enjoyable.

Tap. Great opaque gold. Some lingering head. Not much nose. A but thin. Bright lemon followed by a bit too much yeast. Not bad.

Draft in Las Vegas. Hazy orange pour, almost no head. Aroma of spicy citrus, some wheat and slightly fruity with a hint of banana. Flavor is a bit messy with spicy yeast, fruity and quite some wheat.

Aroma is citrus, orange and coriander. Taste is light sweet malts, banana, lemon grass with some bitter clove. Some light yeast notes. Appearance is a hazy gold with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

Clear yellow color with a minimal head. No aroma. Just carbon dioxide and water. Very little flavor. This is basically club soda.

Pours a hazy yellow orange with a one finger white head which quickly fades to very little lacing. Aroma is of citrus, wheat brad, spices, light pepper, and light spicy hops. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma with a refreshing combination of citrus, spices, wheat, and some light spicy hops. Has a medium-light body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, crisp, refreshing, mostly sweet, medium finish. Overall, a decently tasty wheat ale that is a above average summer thirst quencher.

From a flight on tap. Not a bad summer time ale. Bright and clean. Decent balanced wheat style. Good for the heat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

One of my favorite summer seasonals. Perhaps the citrus is a little much for some but on a hot sunny summer day it is very crisp and refreshing. -via BBapp
