Samuel Adamsģ Summer Ale is an American wheat ale. This summer seasonal uses malted wheat, lemon zest and Grains of Paradise, a rare pepper from Africa first used as a brewing spice in the 13th century, to create a crisp taste, spicy flavor and medium body. The ale fermentation imparts a background tropical fruit note reminiscent of mangos and peaches. All of these flavors come together to create a thirst quenching, clean finishing beer perfect for those warm summer days.

From a bottle, I drank two and that was plenty. Not quite, not even close. Not much malt, not much hop, it was like a soda.

Pours clear golden with a big puffy beige head, excellent retention. Aromas of spice, bread, lemon, grass. Light body, creamy, smooth, lively. Lightly sweet, mild tartness, light bitter and peppery finish. Very drinkable.

5.3% ABV. Wheat Ale. No head out of the tap. Color is a dark hazy honey, 6-8ļSRM. Nose is a full-bodied malt with florid wheaty flavors. Had a beautiful fresh nose that was inviting. Pronounced carbonation. Palate is full of witbier goodness, brief citrus brightness, giving way to the bold malt and then another brief hint of citrus peel in the finish and then itís the next mouthful. Just like having a Blue Moon, Hoegaarden or a Kronenbourg Blanc. Nice.

Somewhat watery, wheaty ale, not much going on here. I imagine it quaffs pretty well compared to the typical pale lager in the summer. Meh.

Poured a slightly hazy gold color with a minimal head. Fair amount of carbonation. Aroma was sweet malt, buttery.. didnít really get much else. Taste was sweet, spicy, and skunky. Iím actually wondering if I just drank from a bad bottle. Iíve had this beer before and could swear it was better quality than what Iím tasting now.. maybe Iíll re-review it someday.

Sabor afrutado, con notas de durazno y mango, poco olor con mucha cabeza de espuma color amarillo a cobre, muy suave al paladar

This is a light ale reminiscent of the original session IPAís from 10 years ago. Notes of wheat, lemon, and light grain blend well for the starters of craft drinking. Experienced crafters will not be impressed.

Dirty cloudy wheat beer with lemon aroma. Taste is soapy bitterness with the wheat ale base and lemon. All tastes bitter and soapy almost. Cheap dirty taste to this one. Not impressed. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
