COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams® Summer Ale is an American wheat ale. This summer seasonal uses malted wheat, lemon zest and Grains of Paradise, a rare pepper from Africa first used as a brewing spice in the 13th century, to create a crisp taste, spicy flavor and medium body. The ale fermentation imparts a background tropical fruit note reminiscent of mangos and peaches. All of these flavors come together to create a thirst quenching, clean finishing beer perfect for those warm summer days.

Pours easy into a cloudy complexion with higher than normal carbonation. Foamy head that relaxes 50% into a pillowed top that sticks around for quite a while. Aroma is of yeast, lemon and hints of what smells like white pepper. Spicy taste, almost like a lemon pepper with an overly-foamy, lemony finish. Spicy lemon aftertaste with slight hops/yeast traces.

It is light and cloudy in color with a medium head. The aroma is wheat and citrus. You can taste lemon, wheat, and orange. It is sweet and refreshing.

Light color, medium head, and easy to drink on a hot day. Slight lemon notes add a bit of flavor, but this is just OK to me.

A good balanced wheat that has a nice freshness and sourness to it. Also some good spicy notes from the yeast

This refreshing ale is clear in appearance but is packed with flavour. An easy summer beverage with citrus notes that would pair very nicely with chicken and seafood. Hello summer!

On tap at the Kernels stadium. Malty with a citrusy finish. It was poor to mediocre for me; MB couldn’t even drink it.

Newer to serious beer tasting but I found a nice gold color with a decent head. The taste is very nice and refreshing, lemon with a slight pepper note. One of my favorite warm weather beers

At Love Field Airport while waiting for flight to Austing for EY recruiting. Pours cloudy neon orange with small layer of crooked head. Aroma is quite thin, can pick up faint musky yeast kinda. Taste is mild citrus, lemon, tangerine, mild wheat, medium body, a little syrupy, on the sweet side. Not bad, not great, it is a little too sweet and sticky to session and not flavorful enough to sip.

I didn’t know what to expect from this one but, I wasn’t disappointed! Bought a six pack and poured into my glass and it’s Golden, Hazy with a nice head and lacing. Taste was amazing, with the lemon and a hint of pepper. Nice wheat beer with some bitterness. Great beer for a hot summer day! I’ll be buying more!

Had on tap at some dodgy sports bar in Charleston. Seems like a good beer for a nice warm day but......pours a yellowish-orange color with a decent head. Nose is a bit strange- some citrus notes but something unidentifiable in there as well. Mouthfeel is nice and light- pretty carbonated. Some overpowering spice to this- maybe the Grains of Paradise? - that made me only drink half. Also some chemical notes. Didn’t work for me.

(bottle) clear orange colour with a small white head; aroma starts with strange chemical notes, then grain, citrus; clean, refreshing flavour
