2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aug 3 2012. On tap, Red Lobster, MI. Pours cloudy apricot colour with two finger white head which settles to thin cap but leaves good lacing. Aroma is spicy and floral with hints of citrus. Taste is more complex with some rich malts and grains present followed by hints of tropical fruit, mango well into finish with slight bitter aftertaste. Palate is heavier than most wheat beers, but better suited for this richer offering. I prefer this over any other wheat beer on tap. Good thirst quencher with more body than most.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft pour pint at the dirty bird. This week on "I canít believe I havenít rated this" we have yet another Sam Adams beer. Pours an oily golden color with a thin fizz head. Soft grainy wheat aroma. Flavor is exactly what I expected. A mild wheat flavor, light body, and a decently refreshing cool finish. In a lineup of common competition, this is an obvious choice, though itís not my favorite "summer" beer. I have a different definition. Not bad.

Poured a cloudy golden color with fluffy white head. Aromas of lemon, wheat, hay. Taste followed the nose. Light body and thin texture. Bubbly carbonation. Refreshing to drink in the summer. Similar to a shandy.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma is wheat citrus and what I guess is the grains of paradise. Would pass for a Wit easily. Appearance is hazy light orange with medium frothy off white head. Taste is citrus orange forward, wheat, peach tangy aroma hopping and light hop bitterness. Palate is medium light. Sweetness and a light bitterness lingers. Overall a nice beer. The citrus comes across as slightly artificial but still not bad. Could just as easily call this a Belgian Wit.

12 oz bottle poured at my brotherís house in Methuen, MA. Pours a hazy golden with no head; not as cloudy as many other wheat beers iíve had. Smells of lemon and a touch of pepper. Taste is mostly peppery. Not great but drinkable.
