COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams® Summer Ale is an American wheat ale. This summer seasonal uses malted wheat, lemon zest and Grains of Paradise, a rare pepper from Africa first used as a brewing spice in the 13th century, to create a crisp taste, spicy flavor and medium body. The ale fermentation imparts a background tropical fruit note reminiscent of mangos and peaches. All of these flavors come together to create a thirst quenching, clean finishing beer perfect for those warm summer days.

This brew has a decent aroma with a hing or lemon. The taste was okay, all not what I expected from a summer ale. It was okay.

Nose is malt and sick, with a touch of honey. I definitely get zesty fruit like lemon and lime. But above all honey is the main contributor. It is a well rounded beer with a nice lingering sweet aftertaste. Solid summer beer.

Golden coloured and hazy. Has a white head, medium duration. Aroma is sweet, a bit oddly spiced. Sweet and mild.

Fine persistent foam. The aroma is a little citrus with a touch of sweet honey. It is a gentle American wheat beer, which has great malt fill with the typical freshness of the freshly-cut grains. Furthermore, it has a slightly sweet taste of honey, while taste is provided by orange zest and lime / citrus. It is a tasty and fresh wheat with the perfect name Summer Ale, for a real summer beer it is indeed. Hop bitterness is almost absent and does not contribute properly to highlight something special. Mouthwatering and easy to drink.

Une blonde un peu voilée avec un col mousseux. Arômes de citrons et de blé. Au goût, un petit feeling limonade. Avec une touche légèrement caramelisé. Bien. Mais pas mémorable.

bottle. Golden light haze. Dry honey on nose, bit grainy malty, some floral notes. Med light bodied, honey ginger, bitters, weak lime flavour. Clean, but a bit dull and not that smooth. Feels a bit watery at times even.

Somehow this one slipped through the cracks in terms of my rating, but, better late than never. Pours a hazy golden with a small fading white head that manages a good deal of stringy lace. Light citrus and wheat cracker nose. Pleasant balanced flavor profile with wheaty malt holding down the backbone while lemon zest and very mild spice creeps in. Finish is clean and ever so slightly tart. Easy drinking summer quencher.

Tap at First and Main. Pours slightly hazy yellow with below average sized white head. Taste is slight lemon and spice. As it warmed, more grassiness came out.
