COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams® Summer Ale is an American wheat ale. This summer seasonal uses malted wheat, lemon zest and Grains of Paradise, a rare pepper from Africa first used as a brewing spice in the 13th century, to create a crisp taste, spicy flavor and medium body. The ale fermentation imparts a background tropical fruit note reminiscent of mangos and peaches. All of these flavors come together to create a thirst quenching, clean finishing beer perfect for those warm summer days.

At backyard party with only a red cup to use poured a pale yellow with a white head. Aroma was light and was lemon and wheat with a hint of spice but not impressive. The taste was pretty much the same. Pretty boring.

This is a light ale reminiscent of the original session IPA’s from 10 years ago. Notes of wheat, lemon, and light grain blend well for the starters of craft drinking. Experienced crafters will not be impressed.

Dirty cloudy wheat beer with lemon aroma. Taste is soapy bitterness with the wheat ale base and lemon. All tastes bitter and soapy almost. Cheap dirty taste to this one. Not impressed. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark urine with a thin white head. Aroma is mostly nothing, perhaps a bit of citrus. Taste has a bit of that wheat beer kick with a smidge of citrus. Finishes heavy on yeast. Typical Sam Adams overhype.

Banana and clove taste. Offputting hint of bitterness. Light and fresh texture, though.

Pours a clear, classic golden with a short white head. Banana and Clive on the nose. Medium body with good carbonation. Subdued flavors of lemon, banana, and clove.

Aroma: Citrus, especially lemon, a smidgeon of wheat, hops Appearance: Yellow, light, small white head. Taste: A lot of lemon, a little wheat Palate: refreshing, as expected. Overall: A bit too boring and a bit too much lemon, prefer other wheat beers more. Refreshing but ehh.

Pale golden pour with light spice on the nose and a lack of any real flavor. Finishes with a light, slightly astringent bitterness. Pretty boring beer from a great brewery.

From tap. Yellow gold with medium head. Aroma is sharp with citrus notes and an artificial note that I can’t place. Taste is sharp citrus and a dry after taste that is quite stale.
