dlihcsnatas (45), Texas, USA May 6, 2008 An easy drinking brew that has the flavor of a wheat ale but for some reason is very clear. The flavors of the wheat and lemon peels are there but I am not sure what the grains of paradise offer since I have never tasted them before. There is a bit of a dry bitterness that picks at the toungue that could be the result of this grains of paradise but again I am not sure of that. Still this is a good pick for Summer.
kflorence (86), San Diego, California, USA Sep 4, 2008 Pours a light, golden honey color with lacing, beer is a bit thin and has a weak, watery yeast and citrus aroma. The taste is heavily dominated by a lemon and spice flavor, tastes a bit forced, almost fake. Not much wheat flavor in there, rather watery, bland and unimpressive. Light and easy to drink, but the flavor is lacking. zvikar (18), , Israel Sep 4, 2008 bright Honey color with small head that diminish quickly, aroma is very weak some floral notes low malty sweetness, citrus & caramel non complex, low body, yeasty finish with some notes of hop, nothing special BeerFanDan17 (375), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Sep 2, 2008 Average for a wheat ale. Interesting mix of lemon zest and spice. Sour citrus was odd for a wheat ale. jmm635 (59), Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 1, 2008 Wow, a wheat ale? Not even close! I didn’t even get a hint of wheat on the nose or the taste. Very disappointing as I’m usually a fan of Sam Adams Seasonals. Tastes like a typical beer (Yuengling). Spab (49), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 1, 2008 Draught. Pours a clear gold with small white head. Sweet aroma of wheat with lemon. Wheat and lemon in the taste. Light to medium body.
