Samuel Adamsģ Summer Ale is an American wheat ale. This summer seasonal uses malted wheat, lemon zest and Grains of Paradise, a rare pepper from Africa first used as a brewing spice in the 13th century, to create a crisp taste, spicy flavor and medium body. The ale fermentation imparts a background tropical fruit note reminiscent of mangos and peaches. All of these flavors come together to create a thirst quenching, clean finishing beer perfect for those warm summer days.

A dreaded American Wheat, going undercover as a íSummer Aleí. Boring. Wheaty. A refreshing afterthought of a beer.

Nice beer I drank all summer. Tinge of spiciness that offsets the mild qualities of this guy. Almost doughy yeast flavor that is in the background helps me come back to this guy over and over.

Pours a hazy orange color with a 1inch white head that leaves minimal lacing as it dissipates on a weizen glass. Smell is great. Great wheat smell with a good bit of orange. Taste is really nice. Has a sweetness up front with the maltiness kicking in during the middle of the taste then a ever so slight bit of hops at the end. Mouthfeel is pretty good with a nice carbonation to it. Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Purchased as part of a Sam Adams 12 pack of Summer beers at a Publix in Savannah, GA. A great appearance and flavor for me. American Pale Wheat Ale is a style that I greatly enjoy and this was a real pleasure to try. A great beer for a multiple beer event in the summer time.

Bottle found buried in back of fridge. Pour slight hazy lemon yellow. Nose light citrus, dank hop, and hint of pepper. Taste mix of tropical fruit and spice up front. Mid palate very sweet then mild grainy malt. All in all, a surprising mix of flavors. Perhaps the age helped or the fact that Iím starving.

Not much of an aroma just a hint of pepper. Gold colour with a short lasting white head. Not much taste, slightly peppery with mineral undertones. Watery feel with a dry mineral finish

Pours a slightly hazy yellow with lots of head. Nicely carbonated good mouthfeel, but slightly medicinal tasting.

Appearance: Slightly hazy body that is a medium shade of golden yellow with a fluffy white head that leaves ample lacing. Aroma: It has a sickly sour aroma that is not very inviting. There is a bit of lemon zest but not very fresh smelling. Taste: There are some good qualities and some bad. I put it this way because at first I really did not like this drink, but some of it started to warm up to me. There is this flavor that tastes a bit like what I can only assume dishwater tastes like. There is this lemon twang and this muddy mess of sickly tasting flavors like old vegetables in the refrigerator. On a positive note there is a smooth wheat flavor that tries to come to the rescue at the end. If I had a 2 second memory I would probably really enjoy this beer. Palate: The palate for this beer is pretty bad. The combination of flavors makes it undrinkable to me. Overall: I find this to be a beer of poor quality that I would not recommend or drink again.

Itís pretty good, itís got that warm summer time flavor that every brewery tries to hit, but itís not perfect. maybe a little bit too wheaty?
