COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This wily red IPA gets its character from the Tasmanian hops that are full of grapefruit, pine and earthy notes creating a bold flavor that threads throughout the taste. The hops are balanced by a core of roasty malts that give this brew body and richness with hints of toffee. This flavorful brew is rounded and smooth with a dry and citrusy hop finish.

Meh. Not a fan of this. It’s not a horrible beer, but not my cup of tea. First off I would not label this an IPA. Aroma was a smooth creamy caramel and sticky sweet malt. Had the aroma of a barley wine. Pour was a nice deep dark stagnant amber with a puffy one finger tan head. Taste was a malt bomb. Caramel, earth and toffee are the only flavors present. Honestly tastes like a sessionable barley wine without the hoppiness if that makes sense. Light carbonation. Would benefit from some hoppy flavor to balance out all the sweet sticky malt.

This is a really unique brew. Burnt dark cherry and a very slight oakiness paired with fermented apricot and bitter hops.

Good stuff. Deep hazy amber, tons of lacing in the creamy tan head. Aroma and flavors are a nice balanced mix of toffee and breaded malts, nice earthy hop finish drying out the mouth. Very nice beer!

This has a nice pleasant Aroma. It pours a rich red color. This has a nice balance of citrus, sweet toffee, and rich malt. All of these flavors work well together and produce a pleasant beer with a good palate.

Reddish copper with a huge amount of frothy tannish red head. Aroma is dominated by hoppy citrus fruits and grapefruit. A bit of roasted caramel is present though only slightly. The taste is dominated by bitter hops but finishes with a bit of a malty sweet ending. Overall a very drinkable ipa

On draught on the brewery tour at Samuel Adams. Pours a mostly clear reddish brown, more red than brown actually, with a moderate linen white head. Mild aroma of roasted malt with some mild grapefruit notes. The flavor is lightly roasted malt and caramel followed by some gentle grapefruit hops bitterness. This is an easy going IPA with a solid malt base and some citrusy hops. There are probably pale ales out there that are more hoppy than this beer is, but get over it already. This is a nice solid beer that I enjoyed while on the tour.

Bottle. Pours a clear, deep copper color with a nice lacing head. Light hoppy aroma with some caramel and brown sugar in the background. Sweet malt as well. Light hoppy flavor with a hint of malt. No tart but slightly sweet. Interesting type of IPA.

It’s not bad and is very drinkable, but it’s nothing special. Pours a brownish red with a creamy and frothy beige head that quickly dissipates leaving some moderate lacing. Aroma is caramel and malt and then you get some of the hops on the end. Taste is much the same. Bread, toffee, caramel, malt and then some citrus from the hops. Not overly bitter, but also not overly flavorful. Got it in a Hopology Mixed 12-pack.
