COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This wily red IPA gets its character from the Tasmanian hops that are full of grapefruit, pine and earthy notes creating a bold flavor that threads throughout the taste. The hops are balanced by a core of roasty malts that give this brew body and richness with hints of toffee. This flavorful brew is rounded and smooth with a dry and citrusy hop finish.

Bottle from Xpress Food Store: Poured a dark amber red hue with a broken up patch of foam topping for a head. Aroma is mild with a decent amount of hops and malts but nothing substantial. Flavors are simple with a hoppy profile paired with a fair amount of sweet malting. Okay but nothing I would ever buy again.

Bottled @Stop&Go, Ponce, PR. Batch 2, 3.25usd! Dark copper-brown color, creamy beige head, lace. Bready, dark fruity, licoricey, slightly oxidiced. Medium-bodied. Licorice, oxidiced madeira. Earthy hops and caramel in the flavor. Bottle seems old but not hopeless. Aged quite interestingly.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, dark reddish pour with slightly off white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, hints of herbal notes in there as well, touch of orange. Taste is a mix of orange, grass, grapefruit, some caramel, toffee into a bit of spice, yeast, finishing slightly bitter, slightly dry.

"this was a pleasant surprise and one i hope makes its way to 6 packs in 2012. beautiful red color with thick tan cap and a ton of lacing. nice, fresh citrus and pine hop aroma with the caramel and biscuit malt in the background. flavor near perfectly balanced. always bitter, but sweet and easy drinking at the same time with the liberal amount of malt flavors as well. very nice. 5-12...super nice in 22’s and draft...12 oz mix pack tasted like a lesser beer. WTF?!"

12oz bottle - I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying a few well made single hop pale ale’s from a local brewery, that have used the Topaz and Galaxy hop before, so I’m semi-familiar with it and it reminds me in many ways of a Cascade hop (which isn’t a bad thing). Aroma seemed bursting with hop elements like citrus and pine, but I found some subtle notes of wood and tropical fruits around mid-glass, which I don’t find in Cascade. The malts find a surprisingly loud voice in this beer with lots of sweet bread and caramel with a nice balancing touch with a spicy/citrusy hop punch. If they started making this available in 6 packs, I’d be a happy camper.

4 oz draft pour at ChurchKey during the Kosmic Mother Funk Grand Cru Launch Party. Clear ruby to dark amber with off-white head. Aromas of spices and what seems like pumpkin. Tastes of spices, light pumpkin, light toasty notes, hops are very low. Medium body with a dry finish.
