Bottle in specialty 12-pack. Dark copper pour with a thin off-white white head that leaves plenty of sticky lacing. Fresh, piney aroma. Sticky grapefruit bitter flavor with plenty of caramel sweetness to balance it out. Finishes with fresh dandelions. Other fruits make an appearance - some nectarines and pears Some redskin peanut in the back end. Rich, sticky mouthfeel. Like this a lot. BBC really seems to be hitting the mark with solid and affordable beers. Well done.

Bomber->SA. Very murky deep orange with big frothy offwhite head. A: strong citrus and floral hops, fruit, wet hay. T: caramel malt, citrus hops, spice. ~AP. Chewy, dense, bittersweet. Aftertaste is off-puttingly sweet.

Tasted in summer of 2013. Good taste and palate but felt the aroma could have been stronger.

Tap @Bukowski, Boston
Clear deep amber-copper color, good creamy off-white head. Grainy-hoppy aroma, lots of citrus. Medium-bodied. Some fruityness. Hops tasted first like German! Then pine, lemon. Interesting hop profile.

January 25th, 2012 - Boston Beer Companyís Third Voyage is a cleverly designed and marketed take on the often mistaken history of the IPA. For this brew, the IPA is cooked up with hops, and each variety originates in a destination visited by Cook himself: New Zealand, England and the Pacific Northwest. However it is made, and whatever this trio of hops does to the flavor, the final product is a taste thatís veritably packed with sunshine and acidity. Imagine the usual sweet and hoppy heavy notes of a double IPA, but decorated with ample touches of lemon and dry orange pith. These wreaths of citrus donít overpower either - the medley of flavors is mild, and mix well, almost like ponzu sauce, or the dipping sauce often served with gyoza. Itís distinctive and tangy, but restrained and delicious.

Decent double from a 22oz. bomber. Hazy copper color with robust , creamy head, sides of glass are coated with head residue. Hops and malt vie equally for the aroma, and taste is sharply bitter, hints of citrus and caramel , and mouthfeel is velvety smooth. Way to go Sam!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 oz Bomber. The beer has strong malt flavor for a double IPA with resin & some alcohol flavors to it. Too much malt flavor in it for me. Overall an average DIPA to me.

Color is a deep amber with a minimal white head. Faint malt aroma. Taste is mostly malts and alcohol with a slight hop finish. Mostly earthy tasting. Not much to get excited about.
