Draught @ BBF Boston 08. Really old notes here but I liked this at the time and was impressed at the malt and sweetness balance which in my opinion often gets out of whack in trips which are not well monitored.

bbf 08. Nice hazy light coppery golden with a nice fluffy head. Good spiciness in the yeast, relatively clean, restrained esters and nice full doughy malt backbones. Lots of doughy full malts, breadiness, yeasty play doughy, some phenolic spices, pepper, and a ligth earthy bitterness- moderately dry in the finish. One of the better belgian test batches, but nothing mind blowing.

Sample @ BBF ’08, Boston. Pours a murky golden-orange with a white head. Aroma is slight yeast, slight malt, and slight fruit. Taste is yeasty with a watery palate and very little finish. I was pretty disappointed in this one.
