3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Initially it had a nice clear copper body and a white head that had some retention and nice lacing. Clarity faded as the sediment on the bottom began to stir which resulted in better retention. Aroma had a nice cereal note upfront, certainly could detect the coriander and an almost sour lemon note. Flavor had good balance nice wheat malts and some spice, there was a nice sourness in the finish. Salt was present, but seemed more like rock salt than sea salt or kosher. Still nice. Finish was smooth and it was light on the palate.

2.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Fruity lemon/citrus aroma. Pours cloudy light orange/yellow with a thin quickly fading bright white head. Lemony sourish. Kind of thick in the mouth with a soft mouthfeel up front that finishes a little bitter. Lots of fruit. Like a cidery/meady drink but kind of thick.

22oz bottle -
I always give props to Samuel Adams for sticking their neck out and trying different styles, breathing life into old styles or pushing the envelope into new ones. I’ve never had a gose before, so I’m rating this one purely on how I enjoyed it. And given it as a whole, it was lifeless. It had a few items going for it, but as an overall experience it was blah.
The beer starts out with a fresh french bread meets salty pool water kind of lemony nose, with caramel syrup. Flavor is fatty and muddled. There’s some sweet caramel notes, a subtle briny touch..it just reminded me of an under-attenuated brown ale...kinda maybe more like a worty small beer, like the 2nd runnings of a big barleywine w/o any hops. Thanks for the attempt. I can see why the style died out.

500 ml bottle
This may diverge from the typical experience of a gose but Sam Adams gets high marks for making a style so accessible. If you are looking for that genuine saltiness you may want to try Ritterguts. If you want to save money this makes a reasonable alternative.
Aroma / Appearance - A rich carbonated caramel hue with warm fringes of vanilla head fill the glass with an inviting liquid. Salty caramel, crisp wheat, and sourdough bread give this a dry edge minus the saltiness I have experienced in other German versions.
Flavor / Palate - Lightly salted nuts rinse the palate clean. A fluid mouthfeel of coriander, salt, and caramel complete a well balanced profile. The 6% ABV is well masked. A very accessible gose deserves a purchase if you do not have the ability to pick up imported releases.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appears somewhat hazy gold with a faint covering of greyish white head. It does what it says on the tin in terms of aroma: definite juicy lemon and saltiness and maybe a touch of fresh lime peel. It is tart and holds those flavours well, as if it was served in a goblet with a rim of sea-salt. It is intriguing, tasty and lush.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
"I really dug this beer as a summer brew. Light on the palate but exploding with fruity and unique flavors (really like the salty aftertaste). Coriander and citrus in equal measure, light hopping. Just a nice enjoyable brew. So far the SA 22’s have been legit."

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
(bottle - 22 oz) Hazy orange pour with a fizzy white head. Citrus and whet in the aroma with a hint of coriander. Flavor is the same light coriander spice overtop of a dry wheat note but the salt adds another dimension to it. Really balances well with the coriander and gives it an almost salted candy and bubblegum finish.

Poured from bomber into strange glass
Appearance – The beer pours a hazy orange amber color with a nice two finger just off white head. The head has a moderate level of retention, with big soapy looking bubbles slowly popping over time to leave a good level of lacing on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a floral and wheat aroma. The floral nature of the brew has strong scent of lavender and jasmine which melds quite well with the wheat as well as a odd and light salty “sea like” smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet orange citrus, peach, and wheat bread flavor. The wheat, peach and citrus remain a base for the beer with the peach and wheat actually getting slightly stronger in flavor as the taste moves on. In the middle of the taste a light spicy and peppery hop flavor come to the tongue. These flavors while present are still quite soft and meld with the soft wheat and citrus flavors well. Some light flowery notes come to the taste at the end, leaving a nice smooth and clean wheat flavor to be left on the tongue when it is all said and done.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the lighter to average side in terms of creaminess with a carbonation level that is average. The feel is quite nice for the softer and rather diverse flavors of the brew.
Overall – This is one tasty brew. While I do not have much experience in the gose category and hence do not really have a great perception as of yet what the ideal one tastes like, I very much enjoyed this rather soft yet flavorful and quite drinkable beer. This is definitely one to try if you get a chance.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft to taster. Looks solid; a fairly transparent gold with foamy eggshell head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells yeasty with mild notes of lemon and salt. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. A little bland for the style, but not bad.
