COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This traditional lager is brewed in the classic European style using only hand-selected noble hops and specialty malts. A generous portion of Vienna malt is used to impart a robust, malty flavor and a smooth clean finish.Brewed in the Sam Adams tradition of quality.

This beer rocks. The aroma is thick with rich, hearty malt and clover honey. Notes of alcohol. Whispers of leather and peat. This sparkling clear burnt orange colored lager has a small, fizzy off-white head. Fully diminishing with no real lacing. A nice flavor. Heavily malty and just a touch sweet up front. Perfectly balanced with a refreshingly small hint of pungency on the backside. Medium-bodied with an oily mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation. Medium lenth, acedic, crisp, mostly dry finish. This is my second Vienna style lager and I have to say both have been very refreshing. I will have to try this style again when it’s about fory degrees warmer.

Not a bad beer, I just can’t get very excited about it. As it seems wih most of Sam Adams brews, this is an attempt at a craft brew, but it falls short. There are elements of the Vienna style, just not enough and not strongly enough. I would much rather consume any of the good Oktoberfest beers from Germany, especially Hacker-P.

Surprisingly good beer from Koch the BBC boys. A sweet, bready malt nose with a dose of flowery hops. The flavor is mildly sweet and somewhat nutty, with a moderate bitterness yielding a pleasant, dry finish that leaves you wanting another.

Nice amber color with a diminishing head. Well pronounce, inviting aroma. Medium body...I’m impressed. Time to drink the rest of this sampler pack...

Orange/amber color with a nice full light tan head. toasty malt aroma with just a hint of light fruit. Flavors of light all-grain toast. Just a touch of sweetness in the finish with a a bit of acidity to wash it away.

Nice surprise. Pours well, leaving a big frothy head. Good malt flavor, hops are lacking at best. Golden brown color.

Great crisp flavor, but needs a little bit more palate. Another good one in the holiday sampler.

Bright amber body topped with a thick creamy head leaving plenty of lace. Sweet amlty aroma with slight fruity notes and a touch of sourness. Sweet malt flavor well balanced with hoppiness and a touch of sourness in the finish. Smooth and refreshing, slightly oily.
