The aroma is sweet with strong notes of brewmash. The color is amber and it has a fine but disappearing head. The flavor is sweet and malty with notes of brewmash - a boring flavor. All in all it is like most Sam Adams beers - main stream...

This beer rocks. The aroma is thick with rich, hearty malt and clover honey. Notes of alcohol. Whispers of leather and peat. This sparkling clear burnt orange colored lager has a small, fizzy off-white head. Fully diminishing with no real lacing. A nice flavor. Heavily malty and just a touch sweet up front. Perfectly balanced with a refreshingly small hint of pungency on the backside. Medium-bodied with an oily mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation. Medium lenth, acedic, crisp, mostly dry finish. This is my second Vienna style lager and I have to say both have been very refreshing. I will have to try this style again when it’s about fory degrees warmer.

Medium golden brown hue. Smooth, malty aroma with a hint of sour fruit. A suprisingly roasted taste, with a few flavors mixed in: walnuts, licorice, Not what I was expecting.

Color is deep amber. First sip is very malty, smooth, and has hints of brown sugar and hops. Finishes smooth, crisp, and clean. Very nice.

An oversweet caramel spread ends in a dry crême brulée finish...Hops are very shy, and thus disappoint a bit..

Copper red color with a big puffy off-white head. Aroma of German malts and Hallertau hops. Body is sweet and earthy, but somewhat thin. Finishes sticky and lightly bitter. A pretty decent beer and one of Sam Adams' better beers.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear dark amber. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel, toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with a light note of peach. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. One of Boston Beer's more drinkable products.

Copper hue with a good frothy off-white head that did die too quicky and produced only fair lace. Malty aroma of biscuit and rye bread, nutty and touch of caramel, floral hops, spices and somewhat vinous with a additional nose of maple sugar and smoky wood. The taste is muted which is disappointing after the nice aroma. Some bitterness and citric nature under the malt, but it never really shines. Potential is there, but lack the conviction to carry through. Average.
