A - A Pours a hazy orange with amber tones. A bone-white head with tight bubbles. One speck of lacing left behind. S - Wheat grain, banana, chalky yeast, hints of lemon citrus and spice. T - Coriander and citrus off the top. Mellow yeast behind dry grainy wheat. It has a kiss of sweetness along with a white peach tea flavor. Lemon is evident from front to back. Finishes semi dry. M - Velvety creamy feel. A slightly above average Wit. Good balance between ingredients. Amazing texture. Very smooth and creamy. Serving type: bottle 01-14-2011

From bottle. Pours orange in color with nice white head. Aroma was bread, orange and some spice. Taste followed. The balance leaned toward sweet. Decent.

12oz bottle. Pours a pale golden cloudy body with quickly dissipating head leaving a decent amount of lacing. Aromas of mild citrus and spice with some wheaty notes. Taste is similar to the nose, citrus and spice with wheat notes.

{from notes of 2011 tasting) 12 oz bottle served in pint glass; slight sediment in bottom of bottle added midway thru tasting. A - hazy golden with a ivory-colored head. Head has average retention and leaves little lace. Looks highly carbonated. S - toasted grains dominate, with some citrus but little sign of the added "spices" T - The flavor is less spicy than expected too, but the spices do show up more prominently in flavor than in the aroma. Nice clean, lightly spicy aftertaste. M - light body. Crisp. Semi-dry, near dry, finish. This is a unique White Ale. Witbiers are not my favorite style but I found this ale to be both interesting and appealing.

Bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a medium white head. Sweet aroma with strong orange and light yeast notes. Moderate citrus flavors with light yeast and wheat notes. Smooth and drinkable but almost too sweet.

Mostly clear golden yellow pour, head looked nice but didn’t linger. Bready aroma. Light bready flavor, but doesn’t linger. Easy to drink, but nothing special.

12oz bottle, hazy, golden, white foam, light citrus hop aroma. Medium sweetness, especially for a Wit, light body, average CO2, some complexity with spices and fruits. Clean crisp finish.

Don’t let the White Ale part fool you, this wit-bier pours an amber color with a slight scent of wheat. It has a slight bitter taste like a pale ale but very small. The spices are very evident but blended nicely. Another great beer from Sam Adams.

Appearance: hazy almost clear golden color, moderate size head fades quickly Aroma: wheat, lemon, Taste: orange on the tongue, bit of wheat finish Palate: some burn on the tongue, a hint of froth, orange and wheat aftertaste Overall: one of my more preferred orange flavored beers but still I’m not an orange flavor fan, bottle named white lantern ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
