Mostly clear golden yellow pour, head looked nice but didnít linger. Bready aroma. Light bready flavor, but doesnít linger. Easy to drink, but nothing special.

12oz bottle, hazy, golden, white foam, light citrus hop aroma. Medium sweetness, especially for a Wit, light body, average CO2, some complexity with spices and fruits. Clean crisp finish.

Donít let the White Ale part fool you, this wit-bier pours an amber color with a slight scent of wheat. It has a slight bitter taste like a pale ale but very small. The spices are very evident but blended nicely. Another great beer from Sam Adams.

Appearance: hazy almost clear golden color, moderate size head fades quickly Aroma: wheat, lemon, Taste: orange on the tongue, bit of wheat finish Palate: some burn on the tongue, a hint of froth, orange and wheat aftertaste Overall: one of my more preferred orange flavored beers but still Iím not an orange flavor fan, bottle named white lantern ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not much aroma or taste from this watered down hazy yellowish beer. Easy drinker, with barely any belgian yeast or spice that i would be looking for with the style. Meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Bottle). Nice floral hop aroma. Short flavor of wheat, citrus and spices with a strange element of ale taste. This beer has a strange but kind of fun flavoring!

Happy to grab another Sam Adams brew! Aromas included light herbs, lemon zest, hops and bread. I like the spicy body of this beer, the yeast and straw notes make for a mouthful of light and complex flavors.

July 2009: Brown 12oz bottle, part of a six pack, poured into a Corsendonk badged, stemmed tulip glass. Cloudy haze (just like it says on the bottle neck label), dirty yellow/golden colour, good firm white head. Plenty of bubbles rising through the body. Spicey mix aroma, corriander, lemon and pink grapefruits. Keen and sharp in the mouth, well carbonated and fairly dry to taste. The taste follows the smells to the letter, a sweet and sour feel from the grapefruit and lemon mixture, the spices adding a little extra to the run of the mill white beers out there. The taste and aroma sweeten as the beer warms. The 5.2ABV is hidden well, but it does lack a body strength which would put it up there with the top white beers. Another Samual Adams beer Iíve enjoyed.

Very slightly hazy amber beer. Smooth dry palate. Rich dry spicy malt with a strong finish of bubblegum and aniseedy alcohol. Warming afterglow. A bit different for a Witbier. Brandyish.

Originally reviewed: 12/20/10. Part of the Winter mix pack. Poured into a pint glass. Pours a slightly cloudy pale gold. A thin white head rest atop. Fair retention; left some good lace behind. The nose is pretty basic. Some light spices, wet hay, citrus zest. Smooth feel, with a crisp bite on the finish. Some faint citrus like lemon and orange in the flavor. More bready than anticipated. This isnít one of the more spicy Wits out there, but it hits the spot. Also, Iím not sure this is the season for this style, but no matter. A good beer, just not necessarily a good Witbier.
