Bottle. Nutmeg, cinnamon and orange peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with large white head. Strong nutmeg flavor dominates with wheat malt, light cinnamon/clove. Bitter orange peel finish. Not bad - extra spicy.

Bottled, orange amber color Wouldn’t have guessed this was a witbier, lots of spice and bready notes similar to the Winter Lager

Bottle. Pours a hazed gold with a thin white head. Lemon and citrus peels, grain and wheat. Medium bodied, a touch of sweet lemongrass, a bit of spices. Lemony, almost shandy like. A bit sweet, easy drinking and tasty enough. Better than the regular Sam’s summer.

Sampled on 4/16/2103. This Witbier pours a medium orange gold color from a 12 oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head with nice lacing and good retention. The aroma is fruity and sweet, spicy with orange, nutmeg and cinnamon. A medium to light bodied wit bier. The malts are cereal, fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and sweet. Decent carbonation. The spices compliment and help offset the fruitiness and sweetness. Crisp and clean. Very drinkable. A somewhat different winter ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Bottle thanks to John. Pours cloudy straw gold with white head. Nose and taste of spiced orange peel, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, banana and light dried spice bag. Lighter bodied.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, full-bodied, light-colored golden-orange, the head substantial and pock-marked. The initial whiff is of an herb garden. This drinks with quite the complement of herbal character, yet is still light and easy to drink. Nice option for the holidays. (#4871, 12/26/2012)

Bottle. Hazy bright orange colored body with a whispy thin bright white head. A doughy nose of oranges and clove spice. There is also a little bit of spice like cinnamon. This tastes of orange peels and light clove spice. A dough like taste throughout. The body is a little thick and dense. Pretty good for a wit.

2/13/13. 12oz bottle from... somewhere... I’m thinking Warehouse in Albany. Lonely tick lingering in my fridge. Lightly hazed orange pour with a thick, tight off-white head that cuts in half but seems to stick and laces okay. Dammit, I didn’t know what this was until I took a sniff and then looked at the commercial description... holiday spices... ugh. Big whiff of nutmeg et. al in the aroma... reminds of pumpkin beers. I hate spiced pumpkin beers. There’s also a touch of sweet orange and some wheat character. Spiced flavor as well, again nutmeg et. al, with a bit of pale malts, wheat, a citrus tang, and some orange sweetness. Ehhhhh.

Bottle:   Hazy straw in color, moderate foamy white head, spotty lacing.   Orange peel and corriander up front, but also some cinnamon and nutmeg.   Belgian Wit crossed with Pumpkin?   I guess I think Pumpkin with the cinnamon and nutmeg, but I guess given the timing I will try and think of it as some sort of holiday cookie.   Feels a bit wheaty, body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes just as it started, flavor from start to finish, citrusy, corriander, nutmeg, and cinnamon.   Interesting combination.   To me its like a combination of summer and autumn, but I will overlook that and think about the label... white christmas.   Who the hell doesn’t want a white christmas?

Bottle. Pours golden orange with a white head. Fragrant holiday spices, on a wheaty base. Cinnamon and orange peel dominate. Good stuff if you’re in the mood.
