COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As crisp as the first snowfall of the year, this unfiltered white ale is blended with holiday spices including cinnamon, nutmeg, & orange peel. The familiar citrus and wheat characters of the ale are complimented by the warmth of the spices for a festive brew that’s perfect for the season.

Sampled on 4/16/2103. This Witbier pours a medium orange gold color from a 12 oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head with nice lacing and good retention. The aroma is fruity and sweet, spicy with orange, nutmeg and cinnamon. A medium to light bodied wit bier. The malts are cereal, fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and sweet. Decent carbonation. The spices compliment and help offset the fruitiness and sweetness. Crisp and clean. Very drinkable. A somewhat different winter ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

This bottled brew from a grocery store poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated transparent light yellow orange colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was musty mild malt and mild wheat. The mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mellow finish with a mellow herbal aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of semi-sweet mild lager mild wheat mild hops herbal and crisp. An OK brew just nothing special.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a very hazy orange color with white creamy head that disappears slowly. Cinnamon and nutmeg is the only thing I smell. Flavors of Cinnamon and nutmeg upfront with wheat and a lightly spicy hop. It finishes just as it started with spice. Lighter body and drinks well enough. Not a bad holiday brew from SA.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 5/6/14

Aroma: The aroma of this one is full of wheat, lemon, and lots of spice
Appearance: The pour is a murky gold-orange, with a fizzy off-white head and drippy lace
Flavor: The taste is much the same, lots of spice and lemon over wheat malt flavors
Palate: The body is light-medium, with a lively-to-fizzy carbonation, and a spicy finish
Overall Impression: Somehow I waited until May to pull this from the fridge. I wasn’t overly impressed by this beer. There’s too much carbonation and too much spice for it to be particularly drinkable, and the flavors are only alright.

Bottle. Hazy bright orange colored body with a whispy thin bright white head. A doughy nose of oranges and clove spice. There is also a little bit of spice like cinnamon. This tastes of orange peels and light clove spice. A dough like taste throughout. The body is a little thick and dense. Pretty good for a wit.

Looks like I liked this more than most. Pours cloudy yellow / orange with a large soapy off-white head. The aroma has lots of spiciness (cinnamon jumps out most), orange peel, smooth wheat, powder and an overall dryness. Medium smooth body with fairly soft carbonation. The flavor starts with a gentle spice blend (lots present, but it’s not harsh) balance by rich smooth wheat. The finish has light plasticy taste, but not too big. Large amount of nutmeg and cinnamon that lingers. Nice unique holiday beer.

Pours hazy pale gold into a Sam glass. Bright white head with good retention recedes to coat surface leaving no lacing. Cinnamon and sweet citrus aromas. Dry with sweet yeast and caramel upfront turning to cinnamon and nutmeg in the lasting earthy bitter finish.

Hazy yellow, white head. Nose cinnamon, spice, ginger, and gum drops. Easy palate, heavy spices, followed by cinnamon, wheat, and light fruit.

Get a faint orange in the aroma but mostly it’s wheat, from the first aroma to the last drop. A nice loft to it, but one is enough due to the heavy wheat body.
