2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/2012oz Bottle. The pour was a medium golden orange with a small (less than 1 finger) white fluffy head that quickly diminished, down to a very thin film and not so good runny lacing.
The aroma was of a light straw malt and a doughy horse blanket yeast with notes of citrus (orange), coriander, nutmeg and cinnamon.
The taste was lightly sweet and rather yeasty with a pronounced citrus note throughout, with the finish having a slight spiciness at the very end. The flavor lingered for an average time following the swallow, with a mild spicy yeast taste fading slowly from the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was just above light in body with a mildly dry texture and a medium carbonation.
Overall a decent enough brew that did posses a good drinkability, but was really nothing overly special as Witbier’s go...

Bottle from Bobar: Poured a neon glowing yellow with a ton of sediment haze while a thick fluffy topping of foam rested on top. Aroma is faint and seems to have faded away with time and seeing how this beer is 2 months past its expiration date, it has stood quite well with hints of wheaty malts and orange peel. The flavor brings out more traces of spices such as cinnamon and ginger bread flavors that despite the old age of this beer, they have complimented the Belgian witbier into a unique Christmas style beer. Too bad I never saw this during X-mas time because I might have enjoyed it when it was fresher.

Pours a hazy and cloudy pale Yellow in color. Has a nice medium-size foamy head with good lacing on the glass. Foamy head dies down after a few sips though. Has VERY LIGHT carbonation that lasts until about the last sip. LOTS of Cinnamon and Nutmeg visibly floating around in the glass, and at the bottom of the glass!! Aroma is very light and faint, but is a slight aroma of Bread and a hint of Wheat. Taste is a little sweet, but not overpowering. A little light and watery, but you can really taste the Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Orange!! You can taste more Cinnamon and Nutmeg in this beer than in Samuel Adams "Ole Fezziweg" which is suppose to be their "Christmas" beer. Maybe this one should be their new "Christmas" beer. This beer would also be good around October when Fall kicks in and the cooler weather arrives!!

Pours a hazy pale golden yellow with a medium off white head. Aroma and Taste of sweet biscuit malt, wheat, yeast, with some light spicy fruity notes and some mild bitterness. Palate is a medium body, crisp with moderate carbonation. Finishes with a combination of sweet malt, wheat, yeast with some light spicy fruity flavor and mild bitterness, slight nutty flavor on the end. Overall a good drinking session ale.

Sampled on 4/16/2103. This Witbier pours a medium orange gold color from a 12 oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head with nice lacing and good retention. The aroma is fruity and sweet, spicy with orange, nutmeg and cinnamon. A medium to light bodied wit bier. The malts are cereal, fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and sweet. Decent carbonation. The spices compliment and help offset the fruitiness and sweetness. Crisp and clean. Very drinkable. A somewhat different winter ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

12 oz. bottle- Pours hazy orange with a one finger head that reduces. Aroma is spices, fruity, yeasty and and wheat. The taste is Christmas spices, wheat and orange peel. Good, I like those spices in there, it reminds me of the holidays.

Bottle poured a hazy deep yellow hue w/ a small fizzy white head quickly dissipating and good lacing. Medium aromas of nutmeg, lemon, orange peel, clove, pear, biscuit, and earthy yeast spiciness. Initial flavor is light citrus with a faint bitter finish of short duration. Tastes are lemon, pear, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange peel, wheat, clove, pepper, biscuit, and yeast earthiness. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, creamy mouthfeel and a mild dry alcohol warming in the finish.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a medium white head that faded quickly and left light lacing. Smells of citrus, cloves, coriander, and a few other spices. Tastes of all the same things mentioned in the smell. Mouthfeel is light and creamy with decent carbonation. Overall this was a pretty good wit beer with extra spicing. Pretty average though.

From notes: Poured hazy orange-amber with a small, thin white head. Aroma of nutmeg and yeast mixed with mild citrus. Body was light-to-medium and slightly on the thin side. Flavor of nutmeg over orangey citrus.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, best before April 2013. Pours hazy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with plenty of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon, orange peel, wheat, clove, pepper, pear, floral, biscuit, and earthy yeast spiciness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of malt and spice notes. Taste of lemon, pear, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange peel, wheat, light clove, pepper, floral, biscuit, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of light fruits, cinnamon, nutmeg, wheat, biscuit, light clove, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice balance and complexity of malt and spice notes; with spices being more muted than I expected from the nose; and zero cloying flavors on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and smooth mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with nearly zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a good spiced witbier. Good balance of malt and spice notes with good flavor robustness; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
