Belgian style white ales have a long history of unique ingredients, as brewers experimented with spices discovered during the spice trade. For our hazy brew we found a refreshing combination of crisp wheat, the tangy sweetness of tangerine & orange peel, and the subtle spiciness of coriander & grains of paradise. Cheers!

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Nose is peaches, straw, bread. Palate is very stingy, tongue lashing, with a light felt finish. Lightly sweet with flavors of peaches, pepper, light spiciness and bread. Dry finish with just a touch of umami. Like it.

~Subtle sweetness in aroma with a zesty pow of corriander and citrus. Light vanilla and bready grain. ~pours a hazy orange with small lasting creamy white head. ~Orangesicle like flavor with breadiness and corriander spice. ~medium light bodied with medium high CO2, sweet citrusy lingering spice finish. ~Enjoyable witbier. Wish I could get some vanilla in the flavor to help round it out.

What blue moon wishes it could be... and I really enjoy blue moon! An over the top Belgian wit .. lots of citrus in the nose and taste,a bit prickly, and finishes with a bit of sweetness. Excellent new addition to Samís lineup

Hazy dark yellow-orange with a short sparse head. Short retention and minimal lacing. Artificial lemony wit aroma and flavor. Light body, creamy texture, and a light wheat finish.

Bottle. Cloudy gold with a medium, dense white head. Aroma is spicy with lots of citrus zest, orange and grains. Taste is mostly sweet with soft lemon candy, candied orange, wheat notes yeast and light spices. Body is medium with a dense, prickly carbonation. Ends with more spices, sweet malt notes, grains, yeast and candied citrus fruit. Not bad.

Unfiltered taste with a hint of the texture of the kind of orange juice you can buy with the bits still in or a dash of pepper, with the sweet taste of wheat, orange, tangerine, with smooth light tasting malt. Belgian Whit a notch above the "macro" whit brands (Blue Moon, Shock Top) with more flavor and no adjunct lager back end taste. Still, made to go down nice and easy, very thirst quenching. Some speculation was that this was going to simply be a repackaging of the Sam Adams White Ale from years past, but the tangerine notes mean it isnít- plus it seems bit less full bodied and spice mix is a bit different. Still, these are kissing cousins- similar in many respects in terms of the taste and ingredients used, plus I would suspect the same yeast. If you like that, youíll probably like this. The tangerine at the same time makes it interesting to have as part of the mix pack, but less of a draw as a potential 6er- something thatís a fun thing to have in there to try, but I think one would get sick of fast. Labeling and name isnít bad- a lot less bland than "White Ale", but not overdone or obnoxious, keeping it classy.
