COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Belgian style white ales have a long history of unique ingredients, as brewers experimented with spices discovered during the spice trade. For our hazy brew we found a refreshing combination of crisp wheat, the tangy sweetness of tangerine & orange peel, and the subtle spiciness of coriander & grains of paradise. Cheers!

Cloudy, straw pour. Smells of lemon and spices. Tastes like their Summer Ale with a hint of oranges. Rather pale with slight peppery after taste.

Soft citrus and wheat. Hints of bananas. Wheat is subtle enough to make this pretty drinkable. Not bad at all ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle from a mixed spring 12 pack. The aroma is very fruity with lots of lemon and orange citrus notes. Underlying coriander, and a little burnt rubber, too. Moderately hazy yellow-orange body with a creamy, rather rapidly dissipating white head present. Starts with a coriander-like spiciness, before a little orange and citrus character takes over in the middle. Heavy wheat malt chewiness comes through late. Light spicy and herbal finish. Pretty good. Not sure how different this is than their Summer Ale.

Hazy yellow. White, medium head. Aroma: Lemon, coriander, wheat. Flavor: Spices, malt, lemon, yeast. Wheat finish. There is a complexity to it but I have had far better Witbeers.

Tan and hazy, some rising bubbles, 1/2 finger head and sparse lace. Aroma is spices, coriander, pepper, citrus (lemon, orange peel, grapefruit), yeast. Taste follows the aroma, spicy with pepper and citrus flavors, some bready and toast type malts, sweetness, wheat, yeast, cloves and coriander. Body is pretty light and drinkable with a spicy aftertaste. Overall it’s decent but isn’t my favorite wit nor my favorite from Sam Adams.

Pours hazy gold with a tall, white head. Zesty orange-lemon aroma. Taste is spiced wheat, orange. Crisp, strongly fruit-sweet. Pleasant, but nothing special.

Sam Adams has been doing some stuff I like recently. Unfortunately this did not live up to what I’ve been seeing from them recently. This pours hazy orange with an off-white head. The aroma has orange, powder, ginger, smoothness from wheat and cream. It has a medium body with a mushy feel to it and a decent amount of carbonation. The flavor starts with a powdery mix of spice and nothing standing out - it all seems quite muddled. There is also mushy malt and an odd cream quality. The finish adds a cough syrup aspect that leads to a fakeness taste. There’s lots of interesting ingredients here and it is a style I like a lot, but this one doesn’t do it for me.
