2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma of spices and tangerines, faint grainy wheat. Flavor followed, grainy wheat more in the fore, odd spices very prevalent (grains of paradise on the bottle), and citrusey orange notes very strong too. The citrus and spices overwhelmed the base beer style, imo, but it was a nice summer brew.

Bottle from sampler. Nose of orange peel and lemon. Malt, with some lemon and some light hops on the finish. Kinda boring.

12oz brown bottle. Pours out golden and cloudy. Fluffy and creamy white cap. Nose has wheat and sharp lemon, light clove sweetness. Tastes of wheat, yeast and lemon and orange peel. Dry and wheaty finish with some yeast and a nice tangerine note. Light bodied with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

At a BBQ so red cup was only thing to use. Seemed a pale yellow with small white head. Aroma was lemon, cereal, hay. Taste was the same. Not impressed with this one. I’m finding Boston Beers offerings to be hit or miss and little in-between. Could it be that this was a offering for the masses? This seemed to be liked by those drinking the Corona.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
355ml bottle pours a slightly hazy golden color with a finger of white head that settles to reveal only a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is orange zest with some hints of grains and yeast. Taste is a light spicy and citrus hop bitterness with a mild malty sweetness finishing with some dry and yeasty notes. A decent brew, but nothing memorable.

Smell: The nose has some mild spice and lemony citrus notes.
Taste / Palate: Sams White Lantern has a smooth light palate with a light malt base, a hint a spice and a touch of citrusy bitterness.
