COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Belgian style white ales have a long history of unique ingredients, as brewers experimented with spices discovered during the spice trade. For our hazy brew we found a refreshing combination of crisp wheat, the tangy sweetness of tangerine & orange peel, and the subtle spiciness of coriander & grains of paradise. Cheers!

Bottle from spring variety pack. Pours hazy dark straw with off-white head that laces well. Nose is coriandery spice, lemongrassy hops, lime. Tastes rich, complex, with a pale malt and spicy flavor upfront and the lemon/lime kickiing in a fraction of a second later. Smooth and crisp, the only negative is that this one, like many other BBC beers, has that slight preservative twinge at the culmination that muddles things up a bit.

Pours hazy yellow/orange with a short-lives bright white head. Sharp citrus aromas with a subtle yeastiness and what I suppose is birds of paradise. Subtle malty sweetness with hints of hops and wheat. Light body, lively carbonation, smooth mouthfeel and a clean finish.

Pours a milky gold with little to no head. Aroma of coriander, orange peal and spices. Taste follows, overly spiced and a bit under attenuated. Below average Belgian wit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours straw with a medium-sized white head. Aroma was very perfumey with lots of orange and some wheat. Flavor was heavy on the orange peel and coriander. Rather unbalanced. Overly sweet too. Not unlike a Blue Moon.

Pours hazy bright yellow with small white head. Subtle aroma of orange peel and wheat. Light bodied with some spiciness and tangerine notes. Has me counting the days until spring. Good.

12oz bottle - pours hazy orange with white head and thin lacing nose is lemon peel and spicy (cloves?). flavor adds hay, orange and wheat. in a blind taste I probably wouldn’t be able to tell this apart from a Blue Moon.

this beer has all the right quality of what a white ale should taste like, the problem is it seems to focus too much on the orange aspect and not enough of the beer, its a bit oversweet with flavor of coriander and orange peel. not really spicy but more fruity. still worth a drink though.

Aroma is citrus/orange, spices and fruit. The flavor is spices, citrus, wheat and a tangy/mildly tart finish. Best Sam Adams Witbier.

Color is more orange than most wits. Aroma is slight orange and wheat, pretty faint. Flavor is a chilling wheatness, some spices, a bit wintery, but alsa a bit savory. Aftertaste is a dry warm orange liquor, but very subtle. Not the best wit i’ve had,but also not the most bland.

"Spring Thaw" mix pack 12 oz. bottle. My Sam Adams perfect pint glass shows a hazy gold with thin white lasting head. Smell is citrus and spicy wheat. The taste is fruity, lots of orange peel, lemons, and thin bread malt. Really to me it takes like a Sam Summer with spices added. Flavor really is nearly identical. Well, I applaud Mr. Koch for smart marketing strategy. This and a few others (Maple Pecan Porter and Double Agent IPL) are only offered in the Spring Thaw pack.
