2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 fl oz bottle from CJ’s (Potsdam, NY), served cool in a tulip glass.
App.: Slightly hazy golden with a thin white head.
Aroma: Wheat, boiled cereals and straw with a slightly restrained perfume of lemony/earthy coriander, somewhat floral.
Palate: Medium body, fine, restrained carbonation.
Flav.: Much more perfumed than the nose, quite floral, light citrus, restrained wheat/malt/cereal character; dry with minimal bitterness and a perfumed, wheaty finish.
Not what my palate likes in a Wit.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a slightly hazy, amber color with a white head. Aroma is fairly light with wheat, caramel malts, and a hint of lemon. Flavor is the same with plenty of the wheat flavor. A little more lemon comes out on the flavor than what was in the aroma.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
The color is an opaque golden with a large pillowy white head that fades quickly, and the aroma blends yeast, orange peel, and wheat. The taste is slightly sweet and a touch sour, and the palate has a medium body, slick yet thick texture, soft carbonation, slightly wheat-filled finish.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
355ml bottle. Banana yellow, nice head, some lacing, hazy. Not much aroma, some coriander. Coriander in the taste is offset by some orange and citrus peel. Overall, manages to be pretty balanced, but I’m not personally a fan of this kind of spiciness.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From a bottle. A slightly hazy body with a white head that had nice retention and lace. Some spice notes on the aroma, subtle fruit and a bread quality. Flavor was mellow. Mild pepper and orange peel upfront. Wheat notes were slightly sweet and there was an almost tart finish to it. Smooth and easy to drink. Okay overall.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, Faint bland aroma and flavors. A bit of the citrus and Belgian notes, but drap and with a chalky feel. Papery at the end too. Disappointing.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold body with a small fizzy white head. The nose is a little too heavy on the coriander for my tastes, it smells a bit soapy. A hefty citrus peel aroma as well with a little yeastiness and wheat. The flavor is pretty similar to what I thought was coming based on the nose, an overly spiced and rather typical American interpretation of a Wit. Not a whole lot of flavors coming from the yeast, not much makes it past all the citrus peel and coriander. Finishes with a bit of soapy coriander and orange zest. Fairly soft on the mouthfeel with gentle carbonation. Pretty poor Wit, but I’m sure those with limited exposure to them might like it just fine.
