3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a hazed gold with a medium to large dense white head. Big sweet citrus fruits, oranges and some lovely floral musk. Medium bodied, sweet tangerine coming through in a big way. Very clean and easy drinking, lots of lovely muskiness. Smooth musk into the finish with more tangerine. If this was presented to be me blind as a tangerine wit I’d have loved it, so I can’t knock it down because Sam Adams made it and I usually end up disappointed by their stuff. Well done.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 5/20
12oz bottle pours with a fairly opaque gold body that supports a wafer thin bright white head. The mild aroma has sugar sweetness, pear candy, sugar sweetened spices and then a light sweet citrusy lime candy note. The taste unloads mounds of sugary sweetness that is a mix of table sugar, sweet pear juice, sugary green apple and lime hard candy. Beneath the sweetness are mild spices like clove and sugary coriander as well as there’s more sweet pear and apple notes. Way too sweet and sugary. I will not try this again.

Answer to blue moon, took them long enough. It is less offensive than blue moon, actually not a bad take on the style, but it is completely unimaginative.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle:   Dirty straw in color, slight sediment, thin sudsy white head, little lacing.   Bright spicy nose, corriander, grains of paradise, and a candied citrus peel.   Remains spicy on the tongue, strong, but not
sharp.   Also a mealy wheatiness.   Spices die off rather quickly, leaving only the mealy wheatiness.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Strong nose, strong start, falls off rather quickly.   Wished this one were
brighter.   Tiz pretty much middle of the road.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. This has the look of any number of American takes on witbier, slightly hazy and orange-gold. Not much of an aroma here. But the beer drinks with a decently respectable body, just a hint of spice and gristiness, but generally drinks like a "regular ol’ beer." Clean and unoffending. (#5188, 8/3/2013)
