3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 DYCSoccer17 (3012) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 24, 201312 ounce bottle from a mixed spring 12 pack. The aroma is very fruity with lots of lemon and orange citrus notes. Underlying coriander, and a little burnt rubber, too. Moderately hazy yellow-orange body with a creamy, rather rapidly dissipating white head present. Starts with a coriander-like spiciness, before a little orange and citrus character takes over in the middle. Heavy wheat malt chewiness comes through late. Light spicy and herbal finish. Pretty good. Not sure how different this is than their Summer Ale.

Orangey crisp aroma, pale cloudy yellow appearance. Tastes.of orange and wheat, nice touch of coriander. Not as smooth as some but a nice wit.

12 ounce bottle from Hayduke. We had it together via facebook chat. The pour was hazed golden. A white head sat on top and left a little lacing. The aroma was oranges and wheat. Flavors were those oranges with coriander, wheat, pale malts. The grains of paradise were kind of different here. They are described as a pepper replacement but that might be a stretch. Still, this was quite flavorful and a nice beer. The wheat gives crispness, mouthfeel, and complexity.

I found this to be an okay belgian white. I thought the spice and especially the orange peel were overbearing. Cloudy (no particulates), yellow and tasted of spice and wheat. Low hopped.

I like it but what a scam. This is the old spring white seasonal under a new name. Glad they brought it back at least cuz it was my favorite of their seasonals. Hazy yellow pour with a medium fizzy head. Full body with notes of orange peel and straw wheat.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20 Narnad (1340) - Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA - MAY 9, 2013
Pours a very clean yellow color with a huge, frothy white head that fades down and leaves a decent lacing on the glass. Aroma has a large wheat malt kick, lots of orange with notes of lemon, and a light coriander at the finish. Flavor reminds me of a slightly ramped up white ale in flavor. Lost of orange and citrus notes early with a lighter coriander spiciness to cut through it. Brew is fizzy feeling with a modest amount of body. Overall good brew.

Bottle: Hazy golden-yellow pour with a short lived white head. Lively aroma of citrus and earthy wheat. Light grass. The fruitiness hits up front; citrus or more so a tropical fruit blend. Wheat and light florals follow, before a little more fruitiness in the tail. Crisp and refreshing.

Bottle. Pours a hazed gold with a medium to large dense white head. Big sweet citrus fruits, oranges and some lovely floral musk. Medium bodied, sweet tangerine coming through in a big way. Very clean and easy drinking, lots of lovely muskiness. Smooth musk into the finish with more tangerine. If this was presented to be me blind as a tangerine wit I’d have loved it, so I can’t knock it down because Sam Adams made it and I usually end up disappointed by their stuff. Well done.

12oz bottle, from Party Source. Enjoy by August 2013. Mildly hazy golden - orange color. Thin off white bubbly head, fades to minimal. Just little loose dots of lace. Doesn’t look bad, but much darker than most white ales I’ve seen. Orange peel, some spice, light belgian-type yeast. Moderate strength more smooth carbonation, medium body. Lightly dry, light stickiness. Tangy sweetness. Decent witbier.
