Sam Adams Whitewater IPA. A wheat ale brewed with apricots & spices.
This hazy brew combines the crisp character of a white ale with the intense pine and citrus flavors of an India Pale Ale. We took the unique combination to a new level with the sublet addition of apricots, which provide a slight sweetness to balance the bitterness of the hops. Cheers!

from the 12oz: It pours hazy, golden orange with 2 fingers of sticky, lingering off white head. Itís got nice citrus and apricot aromas, with dank hay and barnyard and pine. IPA bitterness rides over a solid, mellow hefe character, lightly sweet and whitebready. Medium bodied... Sam Adams really knows how to make good beer. Great brew.

Poured from 12 ounce bottle. Very hazy, golden amber with small head and very good lacing. Aroma of citric hops but not a grapefruit bomb. More a mix of orange, grapefruit and lime with grainy wheat and a little apricot. Taste is a similar citrus mix, a lot more apricot, plus cloves, spice, and biscuity and grainy malt. Fruity, sweet and bitter stay in balance to the very finish where the flavor meets a bitter end. I keep wanting to sip more to get the initial flavors back in my mouth. Fortunately, the bitter ending mellowed as the ale warmed. Medium/full body and high carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Light to moderate malt notes of bread and roasted, moderate pine and citrus peel for the hops, light soap for the yeast with hints of cardboard and milk. Head is average size, frothy, slightly off-white with good crusty lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy yet sparkling pale amber. flavor starts slightly sweet and lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly to moderately acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, watery with a lively carbonation. A nice easy drinking, though middle of the road IPA,

Large white head, lasting, plenty of lace. Murky, orange color.Nose of citrus, light malts and spices. Body is light, soft carbonation, coating on the palate. Grapefruity citrus flavors, wheat notes, lil metallic and minerally. Fairly dry, spicy finish. Tame bite though it gets a bit more metallic. Meh, dont get it, white IPA, yea right we need that.Neither an IPA nor a decent Wit, F this. Bottle from statelineliquors.

Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Hazy amber brew with white head. Aroma of orang juice, citrus, pine. Taste is orange juice / mimosa, a little pine hops and spice. Subtle, well crafted, extremely tasty on a hot day. Predicitng this to be my summer standard for 2012...

UPDATED: MAY 19, 2012 Pours to okay head and yellow-gold appearance. Smell - whoa! BIG grapefruit pine-bomb. Will clear your sinuses in a hurry. Kind of overpowering, which is unusual for anything from Sam Adams. Tons of sweet grapefruit flavor - thankfully didnít overdo the pineyness in the flavor, which worried me from the aroma. Teeny bit of skunk funk that disappears when it sits in the fridge longer. Boldest thing Iíve had yet from Sam. Canít say Iím exactly a big fan of it, but it sure is more memorable and typical of their style than their Latitude 48 IPA. The more I sip it, the more it reminds me of Deschutes beers - malty and somewhat banana-like in flavor.
