COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sam Adams Whitewater IPA. A wheat ale brewed with apricots & spices.
This hazy brew combines the crisp character of a white ale with the intense pine and citrus flavors of an India Pale Ale. We took the unique combination to a new level with the sublet addition of apricots, which provide a slight sweetness to balance the bitterness of the hops. Cheers!

Samuel Adams Whitewater IPA is a very cloudy sparkling golden ale. The dense, white foam has great retention and lacing. It has a bright citrus aroma with orange and pine. Itís medium bodied and a little starchy throughout. The finish is dry. Itís not as hoppy as the aroma led me to believe, but suitably bitter. There are flavors of orange, pine and wheat with a hint of apricot and pine resin at the finish. Itís really solid and the flavors pull together really well.

I was surprised at how well I liked this IPA. Nice and hoppy, has a nice amount of head and a great flavor.

12oz bottle - pours cloudy orange with off-white head and good lacing. Nose is citrus and grass. Flavor is fruity (more grapefruit than apricot). Fairly sweet for an IPA, but still bitter-heavy. Aftertaste is lemon. Refreshing and tasty. Sticky mouthfeel.

pours slightly hazy yellow with a huge whiter head. the aroma is very fruity, hops, aprocots, and slight bitterness. the taste is very fruity up front with a bitter sweet initial taste and ends on a sweeter note. the taste is also of dark fruits, I slightly prefer the Mighty Oak Ale over this beer but this one is still solid.

12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours hazy golden with a fluffy, off-white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, apricot, spices, and caramel malts. Flavor about the same with a nice blend of apricot and hops, but something doesnít go well. Average texture. A decent IPA

Appearance: Pours out a well-hazed, burnished gold body with a tall, foaming, whitish head. Smell: Notes of coarse ground pepper, coriander with humble wheat and fairly easy-going notes of citrus, pine, and fancy little soaps. Taste: Crispy wheat blended with crackery, doughy pale malts as firm citrusy, spicy elements roll in from the hops and spice additions. Slight pine felt. Medium-plus bitterness. Thereís a faint, faint apricot accent -- you really gotta look for it. Pinch of piquant herbs. Dry, bitterish finish with some creamy wheat hints. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: Not great but decent enough.
