3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Aroma has notes of mandarin oranges, malted wheat, citrus and a little clove. Hazy orange hue with a small white head that left ok lace. Flavor is medium sweet and bitter. Palate is medium bodied and oily with average carbonation. Overall a nice brew that drinks well and is enjoyable. I could drink this all night with some hot wings. A good one.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
An interesting combination of a white and an ipa, but Sam needs to do a better job of explaining that to the drinker, most people think that this is a true ipa, which it’s not. All the tastes described on the label, but I tasted an almost gose-like saltiness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 23, 2012 Draft at World of Beer in Land O Lakes. If you try this beer expecting a "true" IPA I can see how you would be disappointed, but if you try this beer expecting a hopped up white wheat I think you’ll enjoy it. Cloudy golden orange color with a dense foamy white head. Very nice lacing along the glass. Fair amount of hop bitterness in the finish. Some sweetness from the apricots up front with a good amount of citrus pith. Overall pretty decent offering from Sam Adams.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
It smells like an IPA, but has no little hop taste. There is a hint of cirus, but then there is appricott and nutmeg(hard to palce the spice). I think this was a beer that Sam Adams brewery tried to make a catch all to please everyone and has come up a bit short everywhere. It does have a great orange hazy color, no lace, no head.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
Pours with a huge two finger billowy head and a hazy light gold body. Great head retention.
Smells quite citrusy with the apricots being quite prominent. Also some orange and pineapple with a touch of pine.
Flavor is quite citrusy as well and sweet. Apricot once again and orange. The pine is not quite as noticeable. Not as much bitterness as I was expecting but it is noticeable and provides a nice drying finish. The mouthfeel, however is quite watery.
Overall I’m torn on this beer. The flavor is wonderful with the citrus but body is severely lacking. It’s almost like drinking hopped fruit juice. I’d revisit it, though.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
I thought this was a pretty terrible beer. The spice notes were a little too much and the hop flavor was just uninspiring.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pours a light, hazy yellow. Has a really nice hop smell out of the bottle. Definitely has a strong piny taste and lingering bitter aftertaste. Not my favorite IPA but I’d drink it again.

Poured a hazy amber with thin head; somewhat light light on the pallet but a lingering aftertaste.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a hazy amber with a thick white head. Smells of floral notes, pine. Tastes of hops, with an added sweetness, i guess from the apricots.

Light golden pour, slight fruit aroma, little hops, nothing out of this world, easy decent drinker....
