Sam Adams Whitewater IPA. A wheat ale brewed with apricots & spices.
This hazy brew combines the crisp character of a white ale with the intense pine and citrus flavors of an India Pale Ale. We took the unique combination to a new level with the sublet addition of apricots, which provide a slight sweetness to balance the bitterness of the hops. Cheers!

Looks fine, hazy orange with a thin film of tan head. I really donít like the aroma on this one. I get apricots, but in a gross rotting way, along with sweet malts and alcohol. The flavor isnít much better, but with the twist of some bitter hops that increase into the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is perfect, too bad the rest of the beer isnít. Probably the worst IPA Iíve had from Sam Adams.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a hazy golden almost brown colored body with a large foamy white head that mushroomed capped when it was initially poured, some carbonation appeared, but mostly stayed out of sight because of the haziness of the beer, it left a good amount of lacing. The smell had coriander, apricots and pine; some hops present themselves in the background. The taste had some pine and the hops, nothing else reared its head. The palate was about a medium, sessionable, no harshness on the tongue, no aftertaste, piney finish. Overall, this is not a bad brew, but probably would only have this again if it was on tap.

Mar. 24, 2014; 12 oz. sampler-pack bottle. Floral/grassy aroma. Bitter/slightly-sour taste. The sharp finish could be off-putting for some, but I liked it. Witbier-like; not a great IPA.

From bottle. Decent aroma that doesnít over power. Nice bite from the bitterness of the hops. Good after taste and weight. Very nice addition to the sam adams family

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, golden with a nice white head and lots of lacing on the glass. Nose is mostly floral hops and citrus fruit. Nice bitter taste, hoppy; spices and fruit are there too. Easy to drink, not bad but certainly not that special.

Bottle. Pours a clear rusty orange color with a white head. Aroma is hops and spices. Some sappy notes but otherwise floral hops. Flavor is much the same. Light bitterness from the hops. Good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

smell is awesome, citrus and stone fruit all the way. Flavor is too hop forward, and the hops didnt resinate well to me. I love hop bombs but this was bordering the line of just plain awful

Bottle. Bright yellow with spongy white head, a bit hazy apperance, grass aroma, strong hops taste, high carbonation, long bitter finish. Nice IPA although a bit too sharp

Pours a hazy amber gold with a 2-inch creamy off-white head. The head settled rapidly to an 1/8 inch. Looks like a wheat-ale but the nose has a strong hop presence. Some suggestion of citrus and apricot does break through the hop. Medium-light body with significant bitter hops on the palate. The palate suggests neither IPA nor Witbier. My palate is confused, but that may be the intent. It is very short with only a very slight lingering of sweet malt. Very nice Belgian lace does form.

12 ounce bottle pours a cloudy white with a white head that lasts. Very nice citrus grapefruit aroma. Taste is strait bittering hops with a little bit of grapefruit flavor not much in the way of flavoring hops. Unpleasant bitter aftertaste. Definitely not a top-tier I PA
