COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sam Adams Whitewater IPA. A wheat ale brewed with apricots & spices.
This hazy brew combines the crisp character of a white ale with the intense pine and citrus flavors of an India Pale Ale. We took the unique combination to a new level with the sublet addition of apricots, which provide a slight sweetness to balance the bitterness of the hops. Cheers!

This was really good. Wheat and funky aroma, hazy appearance. This is light bodied, yet full of flavor. Mildly sweet with a good wheat base, citrus sweet. Really nice hop bitterness. Drinkable...would be great in the summer.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a foamy white head. Leaves nice lacing. Nose is spicy, piney, floral. Palate is up front with bitter, finishes with a dirty malt taste, nice bitterness. Flavors of fresh grass, biscuits, fruit notes, nice fresh bitterness like lime soda water.

12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy light orange with dense off-white head. The aroma is juicy with hops, giving notes of orange, tangerine, peach, and lime. There is an obvious apricot quality, too, which I guess comes both from the hops and the actual apricots. There is a very subtle bready yeast scent, too. The flavor is also very fruity, which is no surprise considering the aroma. Peach and apricot, mostly, with hints of pear, lime, banana, and a touch of pine. Bitterness is moderate, but balanced nicely with a full bready quality that I really like. This is a tasty beer.

Poured into a shaker. Color is hazy straw. Aroma is pine notes from the hops with dried apricot in the background. Flavor is very hop forward but is complimented nicely by the light apricot flavor. Palate is much smoother and less astringent than a typical IPA, I think this is due to the wheat base and the apricot as well. Overall this is a slight twist on a standard IPA that works really well!

poured into a glass, right away the wheat character is noticed. Very hazy appearance for a ipa, unique. Aroma is citrus hops. Flavour is also citrusy bitter. Overall a very good ipa that is not true to style, but worthy of a good rating.

A smooth and refreshing IPA. Light, yeasty aroma with citrus and lemon. The flavor is bitter throughout but nicely balanced with a bit of orange and wheat.

12 ounce bottle from Kroger Carytown Richmond. Is this a Magic Hat 9 clone? We’ll see. Pours a hazy peach color with a large pillowy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of dry citrus notes including lime and lemon. Some faint sweet malts in there as well. The taste is also a ton of citrus notes... lime, tangerine, lemon. Caramel malts as well. Medium bodied. I’m actually liking this quite a bit.

12 oz bottle: Nice floral hop aroma, pungent pine notes and citrus. Appearance is a cloudy golden with a white head that lingers. Taste has got a very hoppy but nicely smooth texture. Make this a short one. This is the best one out of the mix pack. Cheers!
