2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not as horrid as I thought it would be. I guess that is not saying much. Nice bitter finish. Now I will go on a mini rant- What is up with Sam Adams and all the fruit and spice and junk they add to beer? This beer has in it-
Special Ingredients: Orange peel, coriander, and apricots.
Opening up Momís Spice Rack and throwing in spices and fruits, is cheating. Any decent BrewMaster should get those flavors via the correct selection of hop varieties and yeast strains. I think I know what is up with this- It is a marketing tactic. Middle and Upper-Class, Americans, who can afford premium products, like "flavored crap." I buy freshly harvested Olive Oil in a boutique "Olive Oil shop." 90% of the oils are flavored, and apparently one of the few who by the traditional stuff. Same in Teavana, every time I go in there, they push 20 flavored teas, before a tell them to go shove it, and I buy plain green tea. There are also flavored coffees and the like. People who are true connoisseurs and experts, donít fall for such stupid gimmicks. Real Brewmasters have been flavors out of beer, which resemble pine, particular spices, citrus and citrus peel, bananas, tropical fruits, for centuries, without dumping these actual substances into the brew. Sam Adams gets no respect from me, for using such sleazy sales methods and gimmicks.

Tasty! I normally donít like a Belgian. I do like an IPA. This is a good marriage with the IPA and hops leading the taste slightly and the Belgian Taking the appearance. Another winner from Sam!

Bottle: Cloudy, straw to pale amber. Good white persistent head. Medium lift. Apricot, estery, grain driven nose. Malty, caramel. Mineral edge. Dry, moderately sour and medium bitterness. Very tight feel. Medium weight and length. Strong hop flavor on the palate unlike nose. Interesting stone and spice flavors.
Very unique IPA.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy amber with a fluffy meringue like white topper. Grainy aroma with citrus, orange peel and spices. Taste of citrus, greens, mild pepper and orange peel and a mile bitter ending.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rated on 11-11-2013 (Bottle) This beer pours a small smooth white head that mostly diminished, hazy pale yellow body, very fizzy, fast rising carbonation, a good amount of lacing. The Aroma is wheat, bitter, pine, citrus hops, fruity, and spicy. The Taste is very, very sweet, very bitter, wheat, pine, citrus hops and has a dry finish. The Palate is silky smooth and this beer is light bodied. Overall, this beer is very quaffable, hops upfront as they should be and worth trying if you enjoy hoppy tasting beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 Oz bottle. The beer pours to a cloudy orange color. The aroma has a strong grapefruit, citrus & apricot scents to it. The taste is medium bitter & overall an average IPA for me.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy orange beer with a fizzy white head that rises quickly. Subtle citrus nose with a hint of spice, but overall somewhat underwhelming aroma. Flavor is a bit stronger with a tangy sweetness initially followed by a grapefruit hop bitterness. Decent IPA, but not a standout.

Pale gold with a citrine tinge, tall persistent white head.
Full body, smooth texture, bright mouthfeel, long palate.
Bitter all the way to the finish, not too dry,
Grapefruit pith and all, herby,

Nice fresh citrusy aroma. Cloudy straw pour with nice foamy head. Very nice fresh hop flavor. Not the typical SA malt profile. Nice.
