COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sam Adams Whitewater IPA. A wheat ale brewed with apricots & spices.
This hazy brew combines the crisp character of a white ale with the intense pine and citrus flavors of an India Pale Ale. We took the unique combination to a new level with the sublet addition of apricots, which provide a slight sweetness to balance the bitterness of the hops. Cheers!

Golden orange colour that yields a cloudy citrus IPA with a bitter aftertaste that I wasnít especially partial to. It leaves a residue of sorts in the back of the throat.

Pours hazy rich gold with a very foamy, leggy head. Aroma is floral, orange and pine with a touch of spice. Very nice. Taste starts short but gains some depth with warming. Leads with bitter notes flavors of piney hope, grapefruit citrus, pepper. Apricot and spices linger. Pretty damn good.

"great concept, so so execution. wit, ipa, and fruit flavors combine for a tasty brew that would be better suited for late spring or summer than the first week of winter. sa white is not a favorite...the ipa aroma and bitter flavor are done fairly well, the sweet apricot maybe masks some complexity and with 3 things going on at the same time, itís a little muddled. that said, it nice, but i had hogh hopes."

Pours out to a creamy white head that laces. Color is a hazy yellow-orange. Aroma is fruity and citrus and pine as you would expect. it smells great. Flavor is what you would e expect from an apricot IPA and more: complex fruits, malts, and hop flavors of pine, apricot. Good call.

Pours to a cloudy orange leaving medium suds with decent head. Aroma is of citrus and a hit of something floral. Truly does taste like grapefruit but has a good bite but nothing to overwhelming. leaves aftertaste that lingers

Draft at Outback. Nose is citrus, light pine, and caramel. Clear yellow orange with a medium off white head. Flavor is lightly bitter with a light malty background. Decent beer for a place with almost all macros.

On tap, poured a hazy golden hue w/ a medium white head diminishing to a thin cap. Moderate spicy citrus aroma. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a bold bitter finish. Tastes are white grapefruit, apricot, lemon, coriander, pine and grass. Medium bodied and balanced mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at old chicago. Medium to large head. Smooth taste. Probably the best that Iíve had from Sam Adams

Best of the SA six pack of IPAs. Slightly more IPA than witbier I think, but a combination of both. Citrus hops, juicy fruits. Iím not sure how much the yeast brings to the table, as the orange peel and apricot take over that territory. Of course, not much in the way of malt. Long afterglow that reminds me vaguely of Gruyere.

Appearance has a golden orange hue supporting a healthy head that sticks around a bit leaving nice lace. Smell of the apricots and spice with malt and hop. Taste is fruity, hoppy with a nice grapefruit citric having a good malt backbone. Mouthfeel is medium light with good carbonation.
