| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 31, 2009 Decent winter beer. Almost a copper color, with minimal head. I drank a couple on tap with dinner. Finish is a bit bitter but nothing overwhelming. Its just your typical Sam Adams creation. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 30, 2009 12 oz bottle. Poured a clearish dark amber color with a one finger tan head that quickly dissipated. The aroma was bland, with only some spices present, and maybe some sweetish malt. The flavor was caramel with a faint bitter finish. This most definitely is not a weizen bock, so judged by the style listed, this is a terrible beer. However, for drinkability, this is actually pretty decent. milljam (569), Norman, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 29, 2009 I’m not much for lagers...of any sort. In fact, there are less than ten lager beers that I would say I enjoy, and less than 5 that I really enjoy. This beer would not even be in a top 25 category. Skeegle (479), Maryland, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 28, 2009 I really liked this beer. The aroma was among the most offensive I’ve ever smelled, but hey, you can’t win them all when you output millions of bottles a year. The tastes is nothing like a weizen bock. I don’t know where RB is getting this. This is not a weizen bock, period. Has a nice pumpkin spice to it that is class to winter beers. Nice beer, but nothing spectacular. I do like it, and if I’m at a bar without better beers, this a very nice alternative. skoll (127), Traverse City, Michigan, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 27, 2009 12 oz Bottle form a holiday pack that received fro Christmas. Pours an amber brown with a short lasting light tan head. Very mild, uninteresting aroma. Flavor is malty with a spicy finish. Palate is somewhat thin initially but leaves a thicker feel after taste. A pretty good winter beer with decent flavor but not particularly interesting. Joakgust (324), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 27, 2009 Bottle, 33 cl - Light brown to amber beer with a large frothy head. Caramel malt dominated aroma with hints of toffee. Flavor is malty with notes of caramel. Rather fullbodied with a medium salty bitter end. Pretty good winter seasonal! johnnyoski (160), Macomb, Michigan, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 24, 2009 12oz bottle: Pours a rusty brown color with a decent sized tan head. Caramel and toasted biscuit aroma. Initially quite sweet as there is a definite caramel taste. Flavors dull to dry bread taste. Medium body with pleasant, soft mouthfeel. Not bad but nothing special. I remember more spice taste to this beer in years past.
