After a pint it is lacking complexity but for what it is its not bad. Caramel and some nuttyness with winter spices. rbod (25), Davie, Florida, USA

I drank it for most of December and just finished my last bottle. It is a bit spicy like many winter beers with some other layers of a good flavor. BeerFanDan17 (610), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA

A darker lager, almost like a hefeweizen. Flavors are rich are warming and slightly spicy. elcaballo (101), Beverly Hills, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 9, 2008 Overly sweet with too little spice to it. Flavor has some vanilla in it as well as some carmel. Nothing special at all and not really my style MrBeerFanatic (350), jamestown, New York, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 7, 2008 Aroma: Caramel malts, diacetyl, apple jelly, sugar, and citric hops.
Appearance: Bold, brick red-orange with just barely off-white head; compliments the Christmas tree well.
Flavor: A smooth caramel malt base balanced with woody/resiny hops. The bottle claims that this beer has been brewed with "winter spices," but I honestly cannot taste them at all, except perhaps for an EXTREMELY understated nutmeg character. Tangy yeast adds an interesting edge, but otherwise this is more or less just an average red lager.
Palate: Smooth and clean; flavorful without being aggressive or overpowering. I think this will go well with my Christmas dinner.
Overall: Very drinkable, but I long for something with a bit more presence.
