pumpmaster (474), Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA Mar 23, 2008 12ounce bottle purchased at ABC Liquors Pembroke Pines for $1.89. Very good. davidCC (130), New York, USA Mar 21, 2008 I did not like this beer when I had it, maybe it was a lil’ out of season and therefore a little old because I thought the flavor was off. daknole (2810), Plantation, Florida, USA Mar 18, 2008 I find myself liking this less and less each year. Pours a good head, nice aroma. Flavor lacks some punch to me. Too thin and watery on the tongue. Not the best effort by SA. kurtkosher (144), USA Mar 18, 2008 since i live wheat beers of course i loved this one. i cant get enough of sam adams and their great stuff couchand (182), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Mar 17, 2008 Brilliant red, some creamy white head.
Delicate malty aroma.
Balanced. Prominent hoppy bitterness.
SOft and lively. Somewhat lingering. Sharp carbonic bite. DWestrick (235), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA Mar 16, 2008 on tap. nice winter lager with malt and some fruit flavor. went great with a pulled pork sandwich...i enjoyed this beer JackMehoff (18), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Mar 15, 2008 bottle. Its sweet aroma had a hint of fruit and the pour was a beautiful clear amber. The head on my quick pour was non-existent, but the palate was surprisingly complex for a domestic of this caliber talon1117 (616), Bellvue, Colorado, USA Mar 11, 2008 Pours a sparkling clear orangey-copper color with a moderately full, off-white, creamy, rocky head which sticks around for a while but leaves minimal lace. Nose is pretty basic, typical lager; some caramels, cereal notes typical in SA beers, and hints at spicy noble hops. Flavor is similar with rich caramels, light raisin, a mild acidity, and a low bitterness. Palate is medium-light, crisp but watery, and lively. Finishes short and crisp with some lingering caramels. Definately more bock than weizenbock being that it is bottom fermented, but still enjoyable and drinkable.
