I love their beers because they are available everywhere, so there is always a good beer available. Although this doesn’t hit them out of the park like many, this is a strong entry to the market. Good amber color with a malty spicy aroma. The aroma tells you exactly what to expect taste wise malty spicy with a slight hop finish. Good stuff, better than other things coming out of New England (Go Giants).

I’ve not seen this beer for sale in sixers, but each time I get that Holiday Pack this is in there. I’m suprised I haven’t rated it yet, so here it goes.
The beer pours out a light amber color, clear with a nice off-white two finger head. Aroma is spicy malts, slightly fruity and a touch flowery. Flavor is suprisingly fruity, but spicy at the same time. Lots of undefined spices in this one. Sweetness levels are kept in check, which keeps it well balanced. Nothing complex but the beer is satisfying. ChetLemmons (87), orlando, Florida, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Feb 5, 2008 Pours a nice amber color. A thick head that dissipates quickly. Distinct, but not strong, aroma of hops and spice. My memory could be mistaken, but this one seems to have stronger spice flavors than in previous years. Heavily carbonated and not a lot of bite. Not bad as seasonals go, but not something I’d drink on a regular basis. psuCE03 (122), York, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma has caramel malt, very mild fruitiness, subdued hints of spice. Flavor has lightly sweet caramel, vanilla, as well as light, but warming alcohol, prickly bitterness throughout. Finish is moderately bitter. Palate is full and lively. Full bodied and well-balanced. 45thstbrewer (94), Conowingo, Maryland, USA
