restless7 (104), Lenexa, Kansas, USA Dec 30, 2007 Served on tap and much too cold, lightly bitter, light body, lively, thin feel, nutty flavor not particularly pleasant. SHIG (2012), Aviano, Italy Dec 29, 2007 Draught: Poured a copper to brown amber with a tan color head. The aroma was sweet malts and nuts. The taste was sweet caramel malts and wheat. KieferUGA (461), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Dec 28, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear copper with a medium sized, light tan head. Aroma of sweet malts with just a hint of spices. Body is a bit thin. Flavor of toasted bread. Finish is malty. Ok beer. Quietman (160), Florida, USA Dec 28, 2007 Bottle.Clear dark brown with an off-white head.Sweet aroma of dark brown sugar.Sweet flavor.medium body. Not bad LordBeamish (144), Boozetown, Ontario, Canada Dec 28, 2007 On tap: Had this one on tap in Saginaw, Mich with KingofCastle. Apparently, I enjoyed the spicey roasted malts more than him. I actually enjoyed this and wouldn’t hesitate to order it again and again. marano35 (22), Bay Minette, Alabama, USA Dec 28, 2007 Poured from a bottle. Pours a deep red amber color. Nice foamy head. Smells of malt with a citrus hint, maybe some spice. Has a medium mouthfeel and taste is mostly caramel malt. Not bad at all. timfoolery (482), California, USA Dec 28, 2007 Poured amber with a good amount of head. This winter brew is excellent. It incorporates a light hit of spices to complement a smooth, malty brew. Hits the spot during the cold winter months. wickedpete (625), Lexington Park, Maryland, USA Dec 27, 2007 Amber pour and plenty of frothy head. Aroma is strongly fruity, similar to banana bread. Flavor is malty with a touch of spices and very little bitterness. A bit thin for a winter brew I thought but this makes it a bit more refreshing than a warmer. I enjoy this much more than many Sam Adams seasonals and is very nice on draft.
