Clear, somewhat dark copper with reddish highlights. Thin off-white head. Not much lacing but the color simply looks hearty.
Aroma of faint fruity malts and faint winter spices. Key word "faint". But what’s there seems good.
Mostly malt driven, highlighted by bread, toast, cherry and a slight wheat taste. The winter spices (particularly the nutmeg) are more noticeable on the finish. Besides for the spices and slight wheat taste, it is Bock-like.
Moderate carbonation, medium body, somewhat dry finish.
Nice, hearty winter lager with just a touch of spice so you can’t forget the upcoming festivities. Of course, this isn’t really a Bock. A Bock with wheat and spices? Nein!
