TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a sparkling, medium amber with a small, off-white head that mostly diminished and left virtually no head. The aroma was moderate to heavy caramel malt, cherry, wheat and slight alcohol. The initial flavor was moderately sweet, while the finish was moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic and sour with an average duration. The flavor was very malty with a little wheat and lemon in the finish. The medium body was somewhat syrupy with lightly fizzy carbonation and an astringent, slighlty chalky and slightly metallic finish. Sanchex (223), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Flavor has more banana, cotton candy, and hint of caramel. Very sweet beer. Cheers! hopson (594), Williamsville, New York, USA

Some definite sweetness in there with the typically subdued sam adams noble hops. A nice alternative in bars that dont have much in the way of selection. elgavilancillo (63), South Gate, California, USA

Semi dry finish. not bad for a mass produced beer. The taste is rich but not too heavy. The hops you’d expect from Samuel Adams, with a good bit of cinnamon and citrus. The depth of flavor is a bit hard to describe and unexpected in a lager. I enjoy it, and I’d say it’s worth a few. Good session beer. naivepegasus (183), USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 9, 2007 Pours a dark red with two fingers of off-white head. Aroma is of wheat, vanilla, and caramel. Tastes like a wheat beer with a lot of spice to it- it has a full-body taste to it, yet at the same time its an easy session beer. Not bad, though. mrant (330), New York, USA
