ilikestuff (222), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Dec 4, 2007 A bit too spicy for a bock in my opinion, but a very good beer none the less. Pours a hazy orange-tan with a decent off-white head. Goes down fairly smooth because it lacks in carbonation a bit. Not a bad winter warmer. rocbyter (902), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Dec 3, 2007 Moderate malt aroma with a light amount of fruit. Starts with some sweetness. Finishes with a odd fruity then chalky taste. checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 3, 2007 Draft: Dark amber in color with not a lot of head. The aroma was that of malt and spice. This is one of the better Winter brews I’ve had as it is not all ’spiced’ up. The taste is smooth and hoppy with a nice clean finish. Very tasty. Drjohnrock (95), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Dec 2, 2007 Twelve ounce bottle from Biggs. cleaar amber color, sweet spicy nose, mininal slightly off white lasting head and lacing, sweet malty taste with pronounced spiciness. This seasonal seems thinner and less flavorful than past editions but is still a worthwhile brew. AR (417), Georgia, USA Dec 1, 2007 A nice hearty lager. Malty and slightly fruity flavoring. Pleasantly smooth and palatable. JonnyC22 (162), Huntsville, Alabama, USA Dec 1, 2007 Nice easy carbonation. Good beer taste, nice malt overtones. Heavy beer, dark, can’t remember her name. HoppyGuy (111), USA Nov 30, 2007 Bottle. Deep amber in color with a light tan head. Medium body with a bit of malt, yet nicely balanced with hops and spice (nutmeg?). Decent amount of carbonation. I expected it to be a "heavier" brew, but was pleasantly surprised with its clean finish and nice aftertaste. A good winter brew, and less malty than most. kyzr (1120), Belgrade, Montana, USA Nov 30, 2007 Amber bottle pour with very small off-white head. Sweet caramel nose. Flavor is rather sweet, with notes of spice, and just a touch of hop. Also got a touch of dried fruit, finish is clean and crisp. Nice winter lager.
